This is a mix under my Disruptive Techno concept. A mixing framework for improvised mashup mixing. Instead of only rely on a good track selection and smooth transitions, the magic happens in the mix where different tracks blend to create something unique.

Some real old school techno. This is the mix I won iDJ mag (UK) mix competition in May 2005, which makes it a bit more fun to still share :) Pure vinyl mixing, and as usual no computer added, just plug a hardware CD burner in and start record straight to the CD!

Miss Dilemma -Mint Plus Strictly Vinyl mix(Winner iDJ Raw Talent competition -05)

Found one of my old vinyl mixes that I thought I'd lost! With all the technology we have those days I still feel I can't replicate the pure emotions in those mixes! I had an external CD-burner, put an empty CD in and pressed record. Then you prayed for everything to work until the end of the mix! If you failed it was just to start over again! Hope you like this blast from the past! :)

This came straight from my feet and I hope it will make yours move as it makes mine! I admit it, I dance to my own mixes I mean who wants to go to a restaurant where the chef doesn't eat his own cooking? hehe Hope you like it!

This is my first set recorded after I began working on my concept  "Disruptive techno".  A sound I create on stage with other’s tracks and today’s technology. A workflow and framework for how I prepare my tracks where I can change rapidly between trends, styles and moods, in one set or between them. And most important, fully improvised.  This play style is made for the live stage where I allow myself to prioritizing impulsiveness over perfectionism, to not limit creativity. And as wonderful side effect of that was shitloads of energy and happiness while playing! (Not like I lacked that before.. 😅)

Miss Dilemma - old school techno vinyl set from 2002

I recorded sounds drumming and moving old, rusty harvest machines on the field in the sunset. In the end I didn't use too many of the recordings, but they created and emotion and foundation for the track, that basically wrote itself. I had no plan for what kind of track this would become, have no idea how it can be placed in a dj set still, but I really liked the process of letting the music just become what it wanted.

First results after yesterday’s wild sound hunting! 🐾 I played the hits and sounds on top of each other and found rhythms to continue to build upon. The melody was found after I played samples of me shaking the fence high pitched and then converted melody to midi and replaced the original sound with a synth. I continued to use the key and notes from the samples throughout the track.
This is ofc just a first draft of a loop, but i really love how fast ideas get born with this method and you tell me if you can’t hear the pieces of nature in there?! 😄🐏
