Bakongo comes proper with two stripped back drum workouts for TRULE’s 10” series. UK Funky pioneer Roska has been making great percussion tracks under his Bakongo alias for some time now. On Thirteen/Level Cowbell he continues this with two rugged, skeletal drum tracks with tough, minimal bass and the faintest trace of texture in there that absolutely demand to be moved to.

As we gently rest in the soft hard reality, It Keeps On Raining. But rain is good for nature and the soul is cleansed with inspirational triggers. We know what’s next. After party vibes before the party begins. That’s because there’s never an in between. It’s all part of this same program. 

You finally enter the new place in town. It’s called Post Nature. Immediate response. Speedy lights and smoke machines. Sensors on the ground. Darkened walls. You look left and right and give a nod of appreciation. They feel what you feel and I feel what I haven’t felt in a while. Let’s jump in this together. 

In the zone you realize reality is as real as it gets. What’s The Trouble, Bubble? Nothing, nothing at all. We’re proud of this particular moment, of this specific movement, of this very day and age. It has come, and we saw it coming all along.

London-based artist Javano (Shogun Audio / Celsius Recordings), delivers a superb album, showcasing his diverse array of styles. An eleven track LP, with five of them getting served up on a slab of wax. It arrives on Temple of Sound, who's discography has standout releases from the likes of Pugilist (AD93 / 3024) & founder Sub Basics (Lion Charge / Mosaic)

The album screams of high-quality production, floating between flavours of dubbed out drum & bass, deep house and dub-techno. The complex rhythmic structures standout throughout, with Javano's signature dub-wise tone encompassing it all. It's been a big wait for Temple of Sound since they last put out music into the world, but boy does this release make it worth it, it's superb.
