Taking over the controls this week, please welcome Israeli-born / London-based producer and jockey Biri, stepping up with the face-melting wares and breaksy belters to start off the week proper. Responsible for some choice slabs on the likes of Figure and Non Series, Biri treats us to an ever-impeccable two hours of chiselled body music, deftly moving the cursor from utilitarian DJ tools to off-piste divagations into outer-spacey territories. Balancing out the narrative/impact ratio to perfection, it’s an absolute feast of mystique-imbued electronic joints and heavy-duty techno from the deep. Cut off the engines and let Biri’s intricate currents drive you clean and sharp into a state of committed subjugation.

@johnplazamusic is a Chilean artist, recently established in Barcelona, owner of @linderluftrecords. His sound is characterized by minimalist percussions, continuous atmospheres, breakbeat rhythms and a search for mental travel and movement. Since he started with productions he has released music on labels such as @dosis-records, @furthersessions, @bahnbarcelona, @ancestral-process, @postdynamicrecords, @nferee, @spacetextures, @diffusereality, Obscure Sorrow and @aridorecordslabel.

@bahnbarcelona is a techno collective founded in 2017, organizers of events that combines an exclusive selection of international and national/local artists from the hypnotic techno scene. In the early 2020 they founded BAHN· Records, collective's record label releasing in physical & digital formats, and always illustrating what is the music concept of BAHN·. 

John visited Lolita alongside the Italian deep techno legend @luigitozzi and @absismusic at the BAHN·'s 5th anniversary last January.

What peculiar and beautiful forms are shaping the planetary and lunar surfaces of our galaxy… Moved and assembled by forces with which our next adept seems well connected to through her music: Andrea Zapata.

Born in Tacna and raised in Lima, Perú, her career as a DJ began at the age of 22 after studying project media. Even as a young girl she was interested in electronic music and was very excited every time she found new music she liked. Andrea used the pandemic to deepen this childhood mindset and dug deeper than ever, resulting in a musical selection she could really identify with. Her sonic journeys always aim to connect with their listeners and put them in a hypnotic yet peaceful state of mind.

Andrea Zapata offers an unpredictable ride here, which is garnished by quirky sounds and ambienty atmopsheres to transport you gently but steady to the far out. You will also find her very own track “Spiro” in this mix, which was recently released on her first EP “Intuitium” over at KVLTÖ Records.

Le Château Perché festival 2024 invited us to produce the artistic programme for a downtempo and ambient stage “Bel Étang” for one day. It was an opportunity to invite talented artists from near and far, and to share them with the perched public.

Here's one of the first audio testimonies of this adventure: a captivating recording signed by Belgian duo Aaron & Laika < 3< 3< 3. Their live hybrid harmoniously blends downtempo, deep and ambient, sublimated by poetic vocals, a night blooming tales.

High above the stars, where the wind no longer blows and silence envelops the universe, rises a mountain of angular rock - ancient and lonely in the endless darkness. Its peaks stretch out and touch the light of past suns. It listens to the whispers of distant galaxies and the mesmerising cosmic storms that Re:Axis brings to our ears.

José Diogo Correia aka Re:Axis started his journey in sound at young age, perceiving the vibrations from acoustic and electronic instruments as a tool to create space and travel within. He has released music and toured the world since 2006. It was the year he set the love intentions to share, connect and get inspired through energy and frequencies. All the experience and maturity acquired over the past makes him a unique artist of the dance music scene, whose musical development we have been following for a long time. So we are more than delighted to have the chance to host him and his music on our imprint. 

Re:Axis provides us with a mix that skilfully combines repetitive, hypnotic patterns with mystical and cosmic atmospheres, all underlined with a special psychedelic twist. He stays true to his name and manifests a real sound mantra - a steady movement around a central axis that is constantly changing and yet remains stable. The music becomes a rotation, a trance, a journey that leads both into the inner self and into the boundless outer space.
