Gabriel and Marco, aka Balcazar & Sordo have been friends for many years in their home town of Guadalajara, Mexico. After many years of DJing and producing solo or in other partnerships, they decided to join their heads together and see what would happen. The results have been huge! In just a year they have released on some of the best house labels of today, their tracks being played all over the world by some of the most respected DJs in the scene including maceo Plex and Dirt Crew amongst many others. 

Kosmas first a Dj, one who feels the need to spread good vibes around, one who knows exactly how to fit the tracks in a row, to create a proper journey for the listener. His influences include Aphex Twin and The Chemical Brothers. His many productions and remixes have graced Get Physical, Sick Watona and Stranjjur to name just a few. 

Joongl is a tasty percussive number, with a shoulder swaying groove, dotted with tasty fx, big phat synth hits, some soothing tinkles and some nice blippy acid. A brilliant timeless journey thats a fresh as a daisy and we are positive will be huge with so many DJs of many genres. 

Triste is a deep atmospheric workout that builds, with many cool layers adding depth, and then with fx and cool stabs suddenly the big phat synth springs in to action. A serious winner for the cooler dance floors for sure. 

And to close things off its Who Knows, a melodic brooding serious slab of goodness. Its pads create an air of mystery while the underlying subtleties create a cavernous soundscape to get lost in.

This new brand brings together a crew of talented artists, who share the same thoughts about House music and its way of life, creating one platform to release music that stands for quality; Classic and timeless House/Techno combined with the technical possibilities and influences of today… 

Continuously forging his own path, irrespective of any hype and what the scene is asking for, and doing everything with a passion and the will to reach his goals has made Alex Niggemann the personality he is today. Alex grew to be an established and successful DJ & producer, wanting to release music purely for lovers, for people who cut their own path, who dance just the way they feel, celebrating and being passionate about what they do without following rules and trends; the things which characterized the “rave culture” of the 90ies. 

Only two things are important - you and the music.

The debut release, ‘Just A Little’ sees Niggemann explore a chunky tech house aesthetic, precise analogue drum programming and gnarly melodies. Narrated by a late night House mantra and punctuated by full bodied synth work, ‘Just A Little’ is destined for the more discerning floors.

Bolstering the original are two well executed remixes from fellow scene stalwarts, Glimpse and Steve Bug. Poker Flat boss Bug’s mix adds a metallic shine and sleazy edge to proceedings, whilst Glimpse employs his trademark heavy set, stripped back grooves, coated in layers of gritty atmosphere and off-kilter processing.

A strong release that forms the foundations of what is set to become the go-to label for authentic House and Techno, Alex Niggemann showcases his production prowess alongside his A&R nous.

Just Be has been riding a wave of success in the past year and further cements this new incarnation with next installment for the mighty Crosstown Rebels. The massive ‘Don’t Make Me Wait For You’, featuring Jesse Monroe is a wonky slice of pent up tension and swelling moods, reminiscent of proto garage house classics with a touch of modern slinkiness. As the diva vocal narrative builds with a dirty bassline groove, hypnotic echoes of “Don’t Make Me Wait For You” propel the track higher to truly captivate the dancefloor. The more tangled ‘5am remix’ comes courtesy of Rebel wunderkind Subb-an.

Launching his career as Matthew B in the midst of the UK acid house explosion, Just Be’s identity and sound has undertaken many a metamorphosis, from Bushwacka!, The End Soundsystem, to Layo and Bushwacka! and now embarking on the ambitious solo project JUST BE.

An exciting 2012 saw releases for Just Be on Get Physical, Maison D’etre, Plus 8, and Intec Digital plus gigs at some of the best clubs and festivals on the circuit. In total Just Be’s output under various guises has been phenomenal with six artist albums and a seventh due this year. Just Be is a true dance music icon.

Subb-an has recently been on tour with the Rebels celebrating 10 years of the historic label. With an album forthcomngg on Crosstown and huge releases on labels such as Visionquest, Spectral Sound and his own One Records. His hectic touring schedule is testament to the steep rise of this underground star and seminal gigs are lined up this year at the likes of Panorama Bar and DC10.
