As soon as we realized just how serious the COVID19 situation was, all of us here at AEON Towers felt strongly that we must try to do something to help.

The virus had put an end to all live events so putting on an AEON party for charity wasn’t an option. With that in mind we felt we should do something around the label. It was also important to us to involve our AEON family too which is why the obvious answer was to open up some of our catalogue by way of a remix competition, with the winning remixes being released and all the profit being donated to the WHO COVID19 Response Fund.

We were mind blown and humbled by, not only the number of remixes that were submitted, but also the high quality of the music. It made choosing the best ones a very difficult task. We think we chose the best ones though, and we will release the results on July 3rd via Bandcamp only.

To those of you who can afford it, please dig deep and help us raise some money for a very good cause!

Consistently turning heads in the South African house music scene and beyond since 2014, Vanco blesses Afrocentric Records once again with a new batch of remixes for his song "Lutho." Vanco brings his trademark style of thumping percussions, heavy baselines and soulful vocals courtesy of Njabuloseh; the vibrant blend African house and Latin soul is responsible for lighting up many a dancefloor.

On this latest release we get remixes supplied by Eltonnick and the mighty Djeff, whose remix has been played heavily by Black Coffee most notably in his Tomorrowland set. Djeff also presents an instrumental. The dark moods of the buzzing electronic embellishments do well to accentuate a gorgeous vocal line from Njabuloseh, who provides what is easily one of the most infectious chorus melodies you will hear in dance music.

Each remix comes with its own stylistic quirks and unique progressions that will keep you coming back for more!
