The past 4 years have nothing short of the good, the bad, the ugly, and of course, the beautiful. Steyoyoke thanks you, our old and new fans, for the substructure of love and support upon which this label is built. We bring you ultramodern remixes of our liveliest tracks from 2015 on the latest EP, Steyoyoke Anniversary Vol. 04, to celebrate the new year, including remixes by: Philipp Kempnich, Cid Inc, Oliver Schories, MIDAS 104, and Jonas Saalbach.

Philip Kempnich remixes Aaryon and Ran Salman's 'Riptide', fundamentally shifting the patterns of sound consistently to leave you with an ever-pleased, tingly aural sensation. Cid Inc brings us his take on Nick Devon's 'The Poem' featuring Miroir, taking advantage of the earthy bass line through a complimentary arrangement. Oliver Schories faced Soul Button and BLANCAh's 'Rising Silence' turning this track into a twisted fantasy guaranteed to engulf you. MIDAS 104 approaches Animal Picnic's 'Gravity' with a bold confidence evident in the layout of this true anthem of ethereal techno, with a hint of funk! Lastly, but not leastly, Jonas Saalbach remixes Dahu and MPathy's 'Shattered' sticking to the darkness that is, while adding minimalistic elements to make this track simultaneously sink in and pop out in the most unpredictable and astounding ways.

Thank you to all our long-time fans that have loved us from the start, and to our new fans who we welcome with open arms into our family. After all the Smoke & Ashes that was launched in our BeenTouched series, Pete returns to Sincopat now in the main and front line. Trying Not To the almighty Gabriel Ananda on remix duties.

Pete continues exploring the sound and giving emotion to his music today in form of three new tracks full of soul and heart. Trying Not To is a tight huge track that will burn the most demanding places. Master Gabriel Ananda presents an exquisite version rich in details and getting a fantastic balance between deep and tech. We knew he is a quality stamp. 

Graphium follows the futuristic and tasteful line of Electronic Music. Sinister and dark voices for a devastating effect on the dancefloor. Me My Molly shows Pete’s more elegant stuff. He goes a bit deeper with sensual melodies but for sure also a great pick of the night. But, as Pete says, let the music speak by itself.

Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris' showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist.
In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. The second track, "Dodge," takes listeners on a mystical journey playing with deep ambient sounds and a drop that makes your heart speed up. Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur (Kompakt / Bedrock / Diynamic) drops his hypnotic and seductive remix of "Boris," impossible not to get lost in. Additionally, Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz’s up-beat and complex remix of "Dodge" is not to be missed. Monkey Safari's dedication to their craft is catching the attention of industry dignitaries and fans alike with their consistent releases and non-stop international touring. beGun from Barcelona lands in Sincopat putting the focus on the Kiribati islands (Pacific Ocean) as the next destination in this particular electronic music journey. This new work presents two tracks whose names, Kuria and Vostok, correspond to the two most remote capitals of the insular complex and also two of the places that are suffering the most from global warming, and may disappear in the coming decades because of the continuous rise in sea level. In the words of the same producer:

"The goal of aiming at that inhospitable place to a musical level is to be able to contribute my part in the awareness of the effects of climate change, because it would be very unfortunate that in 10 years those two songs are still there while the two towns who gave their names have disappeared from the map”.

With this EP, beGun broadens its own musical spectrum without neglecting its recognized and unique creative personality: always elegant, landscaping and porous in the face of ethnic references through the use of local folk instruments combined with complex rhythms, penetrating basses and atmospheres charged of melancholia. For the remixes, AFFKT gives his own vision of Kuria giving it more musicality with thicker and live synths. For the part we welcome the duo Brigado Crew, who offers a more massive Deep House remix but with a breakdown clearly emotional and vibrant.

Hicky & Kalo's Montreal-based imprint Plaisirs Sonores Records continues its rapid ascension to the fore of the scene with a lethal new two track EP led the label bosses themselves. The original cut from the Canadian pair is titled 'Astre', and it comes strapped an inimitable remix from ethereal techno master and founder of Steyoyoke; Soul Button.

'Astre' is a memorable melodic anthem with a signature groovy rhythm, it's certain to light up the dance-floor.

Since 2016, Soul Button has only ever released music via his own label, so it is a very special occasion as Hicky & Kalo welcome him to the ranks of Plaisirs Sonores. His remix of 'Astre' is a beautiful dreamy piece with angelic bells and hypnotic shakers.

Edu Imbernon’s Fayer proudly present Vincent & The Barbers, a brand new Spanish band who hit hard with the feels. Opening with a deep dream guitar and vocal haze, it whips the dancefloor away from your feet with the same grandeur of a magician pulling a table cloth from under a banquet served in crystal bowls and not so much spilling a drop. Then boom… In come those breakbeats and lift you higher and higher. Instant uplift, watches set to hug o’clock, goosebumping all the way back home. This one is special.

The remixes are, too; Tom Demac brings his absolute A game with a chunkier UK feel to the broken groove and a humungous, warm analog bassline, Edu translates it into a sensual tale of dark, misty four-by-fourplay while rising Italian duo Fideles close the show with a thumping warehouse shaking 3am special. Moody, pensive and uncurling in its sense of drama. 

One exceptional original, three creative versions, another reminder that few labels fuse indie songwriting and techno’s dark dynamics in the way Edu’s label does. So Fayer, so good.
