Mountain Lake is a 3-tracks EP, including a bonus track, an ambient cut version taken from the first 15 minutes long track that is the heart of this release.

All tracks are a mix of progressive down-tempo with atmospheric and ambient sounds, oriental and uplifting trance melodies, leading instruments such as guitar, piano, flute & sitar, followed by percussion and cinematic waves, including vocal sequences. 

Inspired and infused with classical music as my leading guide to everything and passion for trance music, I bring you this EP written from the bottom of my heart! I hope you like it 🎶

Altar Records is proud to offer MK Ultra "UltraWaves" to the light of day!

DJ Jeff Mk Ultra is known to be one of the first goa-trance pioneers in France and Canada. His energy on the dance-floors all over the world while playing his sets is still legendary until now.
Trance is part of his mind and he naturally knows how to share a trance state music experience.
He released many records back in the days, starting in 1994 with "Escape From Anywhere" on Step 2 House Records, wrote legendary goa-trance anthems with Virtuart under the moniker Underhead, released on Coyote Records, AUM Records, etc. 

DJ St Pierre was also in Paris at the birth of the goa-trance scene and they played together many times at so many parties and festivals. St Pierre is now a mastering engineer and sound designer.

He met with DJ Zen (aka Astral Waves) in 1997 in Canada and since then their career path followed each other.
It's in between two lock-downs at the beginning of 2021 that they decided to make some music together, starting at Jeff's Yoga Studio in Paris and finalized at distance, thanks to internet.
After a few months this album was born from Mk ULTRA main arrangements and compositions and Astral WAVES concept in rhythm. So they naturally named themselves "Ultra Waves".

We are proud to present to you the first chapter of a collection of soft, soothing, sleep-friendly tracks from IooN Cosmic Downtempo overnight ambient performance Trip While You Sleep.

Since the beginning of Trip While You Sleep, we are making our best to subtract the blues from our playing, slowing down chord progressions or removing them entirely, 
to achieve the sensation of a deep, suspended, continuous tone which lays a solid foundation for decorative elements, sometimes resembling detailed natural ambiences,
sometimes synthesized and deliberately out of focus.

The sound is soft and quite dull on purpose as more high frequencies content and more loudness would prevent the onset of the hypnagogic states this release is all about.
You can easily adjust your favorite volume level with the first track, also with headphones.

Mervyn Owen van de Kleut, born on 30-12-1989 in Heerlen, the Netherlands, creates music under the name Aeon Cosmowyn. For him, music has always been more than sound—it’s how he processes emotion, reflects on life, and connects with the world.

Living with autism, music became his most natural form of expression. Each track he writes is a moment captured: a feeling, a shift, a personal insight. What began as a private outlet grew into something he could share—and others could feel.

He released his first album Cosmic Insights in 2014, and has since developed a sound blending ambient, psychedelic, and emotional elements—rooted in introspection, shaped by storytelling.
