What's the perfect music for modern trance dance ceremonies of the 21st century? Obviously there's no simple answer to this question. Fast, hard rhythms and cascades of spaced-out sound effects prove to be an excellent medium for journeys to Inner Space. However, mellow grooves and dreamy melodies work just as fine to make the feet moving and the mind drifting away to alien worlds. That's why Black Out Records is not about a particular style, a particular genre. It's about deep, psychedelic sound – in all its synapse-tickling variety.

Label founder DJ Psycko has witnessed the musical evolution of the scene since 2000, both as an eager party freak and as a passionate DJ. During all these years he has seen the change of the psychedelic seasons, new subgenres popping up, trends coming and going. In face of this dynamic development he never restricted himself to a particular style. That's why his brainchild Black Out Music, born in 2015, is meant to be a universal interface between Trance freaks and producers. The sound of the label oscillates around psychedelic deepness – 'Electronic Trance' would probably be the best description, as this term says everything and nothing.

Was ist die beste Musik für die modernen Trance-Tanz Zeremonien des 21. Jahrhunderts? Eine eindeutige Antwort darauf gibt es nicht. Schnelle, harte Rhythmen und weltfremde Soundeffekt-Kaskaden eigenen sich hervorragend für Reisen in den Inneren Kosmos. Aber mit entspannten, groovigen Klängen und verträumten Melodien lässt sich ebenfalls großes Kopfkino herbei zaubern. Aus genau diesem Grund geht es bei Black Out Records nicht um ein bestimmtes Genre, einen bestimmten Stil. Es handelt sich vielmehr um ein Open Source Projekt für deepen, psychedelischen Sound in all seiner synapsenkitzelnden Vielfalt.

Schon seit 2000 beobachtet Labelgründer DJ Psycko das musikalische Szenegeschehen mit ungebrochener Begeisterung – auf der Tanze und hinterm Mischpult. Im Laufe der Jahre hat er erlebt, wie neue Subgenres entstanden sind, wie Trends kamen und gingen. Auf einen bestimmten Style festlegen konnte er sich angesichts dieser Tatsache nie. Deshalb versteht sich das 2015 ins Leben gerufene Black Out Records auch eher als universelle Schnittstelle zwischen Trance-Freaks und Produzenten. Erlaubt ist alles, was aufgrund von psychedelischem Tiefgang Spaß macht. Deshalb spricht er auch gerne von 'Electronic Trance' – ein Begriff, der auf wunderbare Weise alles und nichts sagt.

Filip Landin (born in 1985, Birkerød, Denmark) had his first official dj gig at Tuben  March 27 back in 2015. His talent got spotted the same year by DJ Trausel and Filip got signed on Fleye Records as the first DJ on the label, when it got founded by Trausel & Vikkelsø in 2015.

Filip Landin became the CEO, owner and label manager of Fleye Records in 2018.

Music has always been a part of Filip’s life. Even from early childhood, he has been deeply influenced by it. His father is a talented guitarist, playing in bands such as Back2Back and Airheads. His stepfather played pretty much every instrument he could get his hands on and his grandfather was exceptional at playing classical piano. With these people as his musical role models Filip sought the art of music, which lead him to pick up drumming, piano and guitar himself and eventually dj’ing.

A natural feeling of both great track selections and techniques led to an explosive offset. In a few months he became a noteworthy name.

Filip’s choice of genre depends  on the event and time of day. His style varies from soft, melodic (sunshine/uplifting) progressive trance to the harder hybrid, full-on progressive psytrance and Fullon.

He enjoys shaping his sets based on themes, selecting tracks with specific vocal samples, atmosphere’s to create stories which led him to pick up his unofficial alias, The Storyteller. Filip has shared stages with artists such as Morten Granau, Phaxe, Emok, Neelix , Coming Soon, Phanatic, Audiomatic, Indra, Roy Sason, Pop Art, Emok, Ticon, Freedom Fighters, Martin Vice, Metronome, Zen Mechanics, Animato, Kox Box, WhiteNo1se, Out Now, Symphonix, Antinomy, Out Of Range, Gaudium, Time In Motion, Talpa, Mindbenderz, Cubixx, Porat, Ghost Rider, Hatikwa, Egorythmia, Light Static, Onkel Dunkel, Ilai, Klopfgeister etc., and has played in countries such as Spain, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Rumania and in different parts of Denmark.

In the last decade Berlin became a magnetic force of culture. With an enormous appeal to artists from all areas of expertise including music, design, architecture, theatre, dance and everything that helps the evolution of imagination and creativity. This is why it should come to no surprise that it is the birth place of both Iono Music and its founder - Matthias Sperlich.

Like many other labels, Iono Music was born in order to give its founder, Cubixx aka Matthias Sperlich, the freedom he needed to release his first creation as Koaxkaos – "Evolutyon". After he met Murus in 2003 at a Psytrance festival, they started working together for several years, and so Iono Music was established in 2005. Unlike many other labels, which are affected by fashion, hype and commercial factors, Iono Music has been motivated by the radiation that the music transmits and the way the body reacts to it. If the music changes the molecules and atoms into ion then it means it has been ionized*. The Ionization process can only be fully successful if your music is high quality Electronic music. Iono Music's main emphasis is on Progressive Psytrance and yet any Electronic style is accepted as long as it stands out of the others – after all it has to reach the top atmosphere to be an Iono…

Matthias Sperlich was born in 1977 in Berlin, Germany. He has over 15 years of experience behind the decks and has a long time love affair with electronic music. He works as a professional VFX artist for cinema and TV, which allows him to pursue his passion and vision of extraordinary music, while being guided by his perfectionist's standards. Since the beginning Cubixx knew that Iono Music could succeed only if he chooses each artist with extra care, examining every aspect to see if they belong in the Iono family. Thus all the artists and dj's you see in our website were picked one by one, after proving to be not only excellent artists but also great people.

Iono Music never stops to evolve, always being one step ahead with technology and new initiatives it had grown to be an exciting international label. Always on the move, Iono Music promises to give you the top notch music this atmosphere can offer.

Evelyn Bar Rashi is an Electronic music composer and musician based in Israel.

At an early age Evelyn began playing the drums and later on was part of several psychedelic rock bands.
After being exposed to the special healing effects of trance music, Evelyn dedicated her life for creating it.

Threw out the years 2011 - 2021 Evelyn performed in many underground raves in Israel and Europe, alongside major clubs in Tel Aviv and festivals such as Moksha and Unity. 

In 2019, Evelyn composed the opening track for “Let us dance” protest in Tel Aviv, a significant and historic event for Israel’s Trance community, who were fighting for getting back their cultural freedom.

A few activists took part in the recording at Evelyns studio, which included lyrics in Hebrew, making it more approachable and understandable to people from outside the Psytrance community. “True freedom” expresses a cry for help, calling all Israeli citizens to unite and protect the country’s democracy.
A video clip was made for the track as well, featuring scenes from the protest.

Francisco Manzano, known as MoRsei is an Argentinian Psychedelic trance producer and DJ. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina MoRsei started his musical journey in 2014 as a DJ, and making the next step learning production in 2015. Even with such little time in the scene, has managed to play alongside many great artists at the most important clubs in his city and achieved being in the top Beatport charts with his first single "Dune" for Transcape records (Serbia). This was a milestone in his career since got him the opportunity to grow massively.

My name's Seppe, I'm a producer from Leuven, Belgium, and I've been producing Goa Trance music since 2017.
The more music I discovered, the more I grew fond of the oldschool sound from the 90's.
I don't know what it is, but when I hear Goa Trance, I want to picture an old Atari and a bunch of synths and sequencers running! :D
That's why I try to keep my sound closer to that of the 90's, as opposed to the more clean and polished Goa Trance of today.

a collaboration between me and Kristian Delfosse (Onmacht).
