Flickering beeps and glitches sparkle through the haze, as the melodic impressions leave us questioning our connection with realities unseen. To lull in between the chaos of cyberspace and the idyllic, immerse yourself in an unforgettable dimension.

Lullaby

Artifacts pairs field recordings extracted from around the world with tracks that have used it as a sample to expand our internal geography, a map of forgotten dreams and ephemeral impressions. Varying its soundscape by deconstructing club music into an ambient masse, it explores themes of love, belonging, and existential dread. This catalog is a personal testament to the places once visited, and memories retraced into a collective atmosphere of one's yearning. It approaches "distance" in ways chronological, geographical, and metaphysical.

I found it appropriate to include my field recordings with the loops to add the atmospheric effect of desolation and urban chatter. @outby16 has been a great inspiration to me ever since I started following his productions from over 10 years ago, especially in the field of building melodies and the distorted textures, and the hypnotic essence of his style.

Interference can occur from overlapping waves with different combined effects. The waves can either reinforce each other (constructive interference) or cancel each other (destructive interference) depending on the combination of different amplitudes.

Within our daily sonic environments there are ways it can cause constructive or destructive interference in our conscience, whether through ambiance or obstruction, alerts or diversion. I composed two tracks based on two seemingly opposite but closely related concepts. To tether, or to sever is our daily choice through our relationship with our environments and relationships, and each track utilizes recent field recordings caught in Kyoto, Japan.

A mind-splitting, 1 hour kaleidoscopic journey of the cosmos and the allegory of the cyber cave. I've sparsed in field recordings taken around the world, and selecting an eclectic mix of tracks of varying textures and atmospheres, impressions and moments frozen in melody and feedback.

This mix was originally recorded as a submission to an online platform, but to be later hidden in the archives. I thought it would be worth sharing to allow listeners a sonic trip into the world above, below, and within us as an interconnected fabric of existence.
