A cover of the song "Be My Friend" written and performed by the rock band 'Free'. 
The original song was released in 1970 on their album 'Highway’.

This is our 4th collaboration work. Such a great honor to work with Jimmy again on this favorite song. Thank you Jimmy for asking me to do this and for your brilliant vocals.
 
No need to explain the detail of the original song, but, as described in their biography, I know it was written as a sort of antidote to the "frivolity" of a mega hit song on their previous album 'Fire and Water' (such as "All right now"), aspired to have more weighty and introspective songs. Despite of somewhat tepid reputation for this album at that time, this song has been one of my all time favorite songs and I'm so glad that Jimmy did fantastic job on it, which I think is more than just keeping the original's spirit.

- Through the headphones, backing guitars might sound on the left panning position due to the channel delay effect, though, it's actually positioned on the right side (which you can probably hear without headphones). I kept this positioning by reference to the original's studio version. 
- Guitars: Fender Stratocaster '58 extra re-issued w/Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Amp (Clean Crunch  for Backing Guitar), Maxon AD-9 &amp; MXR Analog Chorus / Yamaha SG-2000 '79 limited version w/ Fender Vibro-King Custom Amp (Overdrive for Guitar Solo) &amp;  AD-9.
- Bass Guitar: Fender USA '66 Precision-Bass , w/Boss CS-2, ‘59 Bassman LTD Amp.
- Drums: Tama Acoustic Drum Kit w/Zildjian Cymbals (6-mics rec). 
All instruments were played and recorded in the studio (live, open-mic rec) except Keys.
