Time2Tweak - Tech House Mix

That feeling when you know something is about to end so you enjoy the most out of it? That’s what French DJ and producer Notre Dame delivers with YUMI. 
It’s that last track that’s playing when you look into your best friends eyes and think about the night you’ve just had together. It was heavily supported by Solomun throughout the summer.
Next to the title track we have „Story of My Life“ - dramatic, almost fragile, with a relentless kick at its center that’s encircled by a gentle arp.
And closing off the YUMI EP is „Atom“. Its suspense is building like a Kamikaze fighter approaching their target: slowly at first, but without mercy.

Here’s Diynamic’s „Four To The Floor 28“, a selection of Solomun’s road tested secret weapons.
Opening track „All Over My Body“ by Ben Sterling feat. Superchumbo is a sensual Tech House gem with a hypnotic mantra sticking to you like body oil.
„Here Comes The Ride“ by Viv Castle feat. Kxne is an oddly satisfying audio commentary on all the sensations during music reception.
All you can do is dance.
Malive and Linkage come together on „Pictures“ and create a sensitive dance floor moment for closed eyes and introspection.
And closing off the FTTF28 is Gorgin with „Principal Agent“, a dreamy and melodic send-off into the night.

Closing out 2023 with what can only be described a powerhouse combination on the label, MEDUZA, Ferreck Dawn and Clementine Douglas come together on Defected Records with ‘I Got Nothing’. A faultless amalgamation of the three artists styles, as MEDUZA’s spacious and celestial production aesthetic, Ferreck’s innate house sensibilities and Clementine’s soaring vocal work together in harmony on this elegant club cut. With hints of 00’s nostalgia offset by tougher elements of the track, ‘I Got Nothing’ won’t let a late entry stop it from being one of 2023’s biggest house collaborations.

Chris Lake & Green Velvet - Deceiver

The summer season might be all but over, but the good times keep on coming courtesy of this latest missile from Do Not Sleep by Luuk Van Dijk with a top remix from Ben Sterling.

Amsterdam based talent Van Dijk has had music in his bones since his youth and next to laying down sets at Paradise, Awakenings, elrow, Cocoon he has held a residency at Straf_Werk and released on taste making labels like Hot Creations, Solid Grooves, and Circus Recordings. He saves his best for Do Not Sleep however. 

In the District is tight, tough, hard hitting house music with interwoven drums and bass that get right under your skin and make you move, while synths and percussion peel off the busy groove. Blunted then marries warped basslines and crisp claps with woodpecker hits. It is atmospheric, stripped back but effective house that makes an immediate mark. The remix of In the District by fast rising UK talent Ben Sterling is another brilliantly direct track with prying bass loops, freaky vocal echoes and a late night sense of mischief. 

This is another vital offering from Do Not Sleep.
