Analyzing 'Solitude', I came to the conclusion that is a song that seeks to create emotions with its lyrics. So, I decided to make this chill/comercial Deep House emotional remix that fits with the emotional vibes of the lyrics. Bass house and aggressive/energetic genres are fine, but I think in the case with this song, there was no point in doing something aggressive when the lyrics ask you to touch the feelings of the listener.

so, this is my essential mix. i want to say a few things about it!

before writing "worlds", i'd been feeling kinda pessimistic about the future of electronic music. so once i was done writing "worlds" over the course of 2~ish years, i just felt the need to find new stuff that i loved. i did a ton of soundcloud digging, basically, and most of the music in this mix was music i found that way. that's not to say that there aren't classics or songs i've known for a while here, but it's mostly new music.

then BBC radio 1 asked me to do an essential mix, and it seemed like the perfect way to showcase new stuff i was into.

i also feel like it's important to point out that this mix isn't what the worlds tour is going to sound like, really - that tour is going to be only my own music. all originals. (also it's going to be a blast and a visual journey and other stuff i can't talk about yet ehehe).
