In a land beyond the north winds.. The clangor of swords died away. The shouting of the slaughter was hushed, silence reigned over the red-stained snow, he raised himself upright, then, his muscles sore, his armor and skin torn in a dozen places, he turned and a sudden sick weariness assailed him...he turned away from the trampled, scarlet-painted expanse, and the glare of the sun cut his eyes like a knife, a few steps he took.. and the glare was suddenly dimmed.. the Black Colossus stood before him.
