Next season of Cricket Talk starts with a full package of modern jazz with dub influences and a
hint of hip-hop from Golden Pudel and THF Radio resident Acidfinky, who is a member of the
feminist collective BLVSH and founder of the independent label Twisting Knobs Records. Cricket
Talk host and founder Levente digged deep in his percussion crates for the second hour, mixed
with some experimental, ambient and minimalistic folk. Keep it locked!

The UK-born, Berlin-based DJ, wellness professional and charity organisation founder ZE:NA @zenadj spun together a bouncy mix spanning from UKG and house to bassline. Get proper sweaty to this one!

About ZE:NA
Her love for music comes from her childhood growing up in London to the local sounds of garage, grime, reggae and RnB. Later living in Bristol she immersed herself in the music culture exploring drum and bass, dubstep and house. It was here she gained a passion for DJing which evolved over the next 10 years.

You can see these influences in her music selection, blending jungly, breaks and soulful vocals in her mixes.

She is also a wellness professional teaching spin, yoga and meditation. Most recently she has been able to explore her love for ambient music with the mixes she is creating for her yoga and meditation classes. On top of this she has been able to use her passion for music to help others through events she curates Rise Nights with the  organisation Rise Foundation e.V. which raises funds and provides support for the homeless in Berlin.

To mark 1 year of High Tempo shows on THF Aezron invited Pringlz after they met at the Ukrainian Sound Garden festival the previous weekend and felt like a good fit for a b2b while he was still in town. Pringlz came thru with a bunch of fire UKG records and it turned out to be a hot and heavy session in the THF studio where mutual friends joined them.

Pringlz is a Kyiv-based artist and co-founder of Fusion Jams, A community of contemporary jazz and free people making a big impact on the city's music scene.

A dubstep legend roars back.

When dubstep ruled the roost in the late '00s, electronic music had no shortage of icons and spinoff variants to rally around. But one rumble from  Bristol stood out: the Purple sound. Popularised by Joker, AKA Liam Mclean, with Guido and Gemmy in support, it hit like a beam of bright light flooding through the basement dank.

When America cottoned onto bass quakes in the next decade, Mclean's taste for chiptune-coded synths and maximum intensity kept his vision alive at arena level, even while he retreated from view as an actively touring performer.

In 2023, "Tears," a collaboration with Skrillex and Sleepnet, helped remind the world just how much Joker's juddering sound could put us in a headlock. True to form, this year's gargantuan "Juggernaut"—Mclean's first solo single in six years—crashes through the speakers with as much glorious crunch as earlier classics like 2009's "Purple City."

Mclean has kept busy in the studio applying his perfectionist streak as a producer and engineer to many sound system anthems, which means his influence is never far from a dance floor being turned inside out. The fact that Joker had never laid down an RA Podcast before was, being honest, a blemish in our copybook. RA.962 fixes that in style.
