Thios next episode of Bom Shanka Music series will be presented by PIEMAN.

Simon Pieman is one of the core members of the Legendary Tribe of Frog in Bristol, England and also label manager of genre defying Broken Records label and recently signed to the cutting edge psy label Bom Shanka, his talents are in full flow. He started music production in the last 2 years and is currently writing with K.I.M, Occular and Illegal Machines, with 2 releases on K.I.Ms album on Zero One records, he also has a searing Bom Shanka compilation in the pipeline for the end of summer, which will also be celebrating its 10th anniversary with an epic party in Bristol in November this year.
Pieman has been DJ’ing since his inspiration from the Haadrin and Goa parties in the early 90`s. He is one of the few DJ`s out there that can genuinely play at any party, at any time of the day or night, without more than a moment’s notice, and still maintain the flow of the music. With a very unique feel, his sets can be described as Maximal PsychedelicTrashPopDiscoFilth with dollops of full fat ice cream and wafers of random audio for good measure. Sublime multi genre sets are his talent and if there is a box he wont be in it! Psy-Trance, Progressive, Techno, Breaks, Electro Swing, Glitch, Drum and Bass, Freestyle Downtempo … we could go on!!

Having played internationally for many years, and a regular at Boomtown Fair and many other of the Uk underground and overground parties.

Hyperactive and sideways are a good description of his character!
He is also a truly accomplished Tree Climber and wearer of shorts.

Tribe of Frog just celebrated its 17th birthday with a 6 room multi genre party, and in its 9th year now the future of Broken Records is going from strength to strength, with its genre defying attitude to music, morphing and adapting every year with his vision and energy.

The future is looking exciting and wobbly for Pieman.

This Tuesday evening we will be hypnotized by DJ GAHABBI.

Gahabbi is the psytrance avatar of Gabor Szundi from Budapest, Hungary.
Gabor got his first taste of electronic dance music at a very young age after being exposed to the Budapest underground scene. It was not too long before he entered into the magical dimension of psytrance after walking into a portal during his first encounter with Ozora. Inspired by the Ozora Experience, he started to go deeper down the rabbit hole of psychedelic trance, which eventually led him to start playing the music himself. Gahabbi has since been very active in the Hungarian psytrance scene, having played at many parties and festivals including Chakacsütörtök , 4.49 Festival and Ozora. His choice of music is varied, with a special focus on the groovier side of psytrance, which enables him to design and create a high energy dance floor drenched in psychedelia. In 2017 Gahabbi joined the Hypnotique Recordings family, where his focus is to create his own music as he continues to narrate high octave psychedelia thorough his DJ sets at festivals and parties around the world.

Affreqtic (Sun Department Records) is currently one of the youngstars of the german psytrance scene. After 10 years of guitar and keyboard lessons and moving to Hamburg he found his passion for psychedelic dance music. His sound quickly changed from minimalistic to a mixture of a more complex, darker sound with melodic and emotional breaks - he founded the music style "Epic Twilight". He played at major events such as the Warming Up Party for the Psy-Fi Festival and the VooV Experience Indoor Party and after three successful EP’s (the God Of Death EP reached number two in the Beatport Top100 Charts!), we are waiting impatiently for his next EP on Sun Department Records!
