E.S.M is a scintillating slice of euphoric deep house. It's a collaboration of Canadian DJ / Producers and longtime friends @fredeverything & @trevorlifeboogiewalker. The duo have shared the decks together many times over the years becoming well known for their four decks and two mixer sessions and they have carried that musical understanding over into their production together.

Smooth deep, and full of dancefloor know-how E.S.M. is wonderfully graceful and perfect for those hazy smoke filled 3am sets.  It's out via @compost on the 26th November. Together they created the Touch of Class Records imprint, a label that has gained worldwide musical respect from its inception in Berlin, sharing an eclectic taste, pulling from classic, to modern, indie, and electronic, with the world. An infectious house style, clad with sophistication that represents a brilliant and mature funk.

Aside from their own label, the duo has released original productions on Leftroom, Endless, My Favorite Robot, Wolf + Lamb, and Culprit, reinforcing the bright future for this tenacious duo.

Stillhot has grown rapidly as a booking agency over the past few years, which ensures a dance-all-night feeling in clubs all over the world and full floors on festivals with its artists. Martin Eyerer, Alex Flatner and Benny Grauer have now decided to push this concept even further! As experienced label bosses of e.g. Kling Klong and Circle Music, it was obvious to add another department to Stillhot: a label! The main intention was to create a platform based on the family idea for the Stillhot artists, which gives everyone the freedom to release music without any influence from outside. There will always be alternating releases by the Stillhot crew on the new label, while the artists will keep on remixing each other.

The first release comes from the agency companions Markus Homm and Mihai Popoviciu. Those two didn’t produce a common release for ages. We remember countless strong Homm & Popoviciu singles on labels like Highgrade and various other imprints. Thus, we are more than happy to have this one first on the bill of Stillhot Records:

The kick-off comes with “Insomnis”, the title track of this EP. This is a housy deep piece of music, that skips in between Café Del Mar and a peaktime stomper for the night. The Berlin DJ, producer and label boss of Stillhot, Benny Grauer, interpreted this sound in his own way and at the same time stretched a typical Berlin-like style to the eight minutes playtime. With “Accent”, Markus and Mihai shoot out an oldschool-filled and very bass-heavy number and conclude the EP with “Taraon”, a percussive summer House track.

What a debut! The first of all releases on the new label Stillhot has really been successful and we can be looking forward to hearing more hot stuff, that’s already been scheduled!
