Una formazione di 4 elementi, voce femminile, chitarra, basso e batteria, attiva sulle scene milanesi, con un repertorio di inediti in italiano. 

Il genere è un rock melodico con influenze funky e blues, in stile vagamente retrò, soprattutto nel cantato.

Uno progetto nuovo che strizza l’occhio al passato, con sonorità semplici, di sostanza e pochi fronzoli. 

Strutture dinamiche, sonorità morbide ma d’impatto, presenza scenica seducente, quasi d’altri tempi.

While lead singer-songwriter Jared Swanson was certainly influenced by the “alternative” label of yesterday, his music wholly belongs to the 21st century. A voice that encapsulates the here, the now, the beautiful and tragic present, and the vision for a brighter future.

The Runes Project is a continuation of what began as a high school garage band called "Runesword" back in the 1980's. David Gines and Eric Sisler had big dreams in the day, but skills and equipment didn't quite match the dreams. As is sometimes the case, the two friends got caught up in life, taking different paths and eventually lost track of each other.

Fast forward 30 years and the two old friends found each other on Facebook after both had been successful tech nerds and each had maintained their love for music.  Dave continued playing in various bands over the years but Eric had only recently picked it back up after playing in a few bands in the late 80's. They decided, "Oh, what the hell!" and began writing and recording together again. Influences are an eclectic blend of 70's classic rock (Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rush) to 60's and 70's singer-songwriter (Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Don McLean, John Denver), to 80's Alternative (The Cure, Billy Bragg, U2, and others) and everything in between.  We hope you have as much fun listening as we have writing and recording, although we doubt it. :-)
