From the slavering bass-carnivore ‘Slammer,’ to the purple-rain phunk of “Push Up”, and from the off-wall vocals of Reprazent home-girl Onnalee on “Get a Life” to the break-neck toasting of dapper-one Million Dan, “Raw as F**k” plays an exhilarating game of genre hop-scotch. The traditional Freestylers’ sounds on ragga-laced tracks like “Boom Blast” sitting perfectly alongside more poignant moments like the epic “Too Far”.

L Plus – Everyone / The Lost Moon

Technique's Slovakian assassin is back. Fresh from dusting off a couple of classic cuts for the TECH 100 Retrospective LP, L Plus has managed to find the time in his ever-burgeoning international DJing schedule to supply something brand new.

“Everyone” goes percussive straight from the off with layers of monotonic synths to get your head nodding. The intensity builds until some unmistakeably L Plus-flavoured punchy drums and sweeping bass tones signal it's time for the dancefloor to get moving. This is the sound of primitive tribalistic rhythmic interplay built from anything-but-primitive sound design. When DJs want to mix into a sure-fire party bubbler, here's one to have ready at the other end of the crossfader.

Then “The Lost Moon” goes a touch more atmospheric. Intergalactic brass stabs are underpinned by a classic “Houston we have a problem” sample and rising warning tones to leave you in no doubt that the situation's about to get critical. And critical is exactly what it gets with a complex call-and-response drop punctuated by sudden vibe-twisting fills. This track draws you in and fires the dancefloor off on a journey through hostile alien territory with no escape pod.

As usual with L Plus, there's more than just a couple of expertly crafted party-wrecking DJ tools here. There's also some serious production skills and musicality on show, making this release perfectly suited for the radio as well as the rave.

Too Many T’s RUNNING WILD EP could very well be the most entertaining thirty minutes of audio entertainment you will have encountered for quite some time. What’s more, it’s all for free.

The T’s have been breathing fresh life into the Hip Hop scene for nearly three years and, in that time, they have supported some of their childhood hero’s on stage; Big Daddy Kane, Wu Tang Clan, Ugly Duckling and, as part of the upcoming tour, Charli 2na. They have reached audiences on 6Music and XFM as well as performing at some of the UK’s biggest and best festivals. This year alone saw the South London duo perform an official set on Bestival main stage, they drew the biggest crowd ever at Friday’s opening set at Secret Garden Party on Temple of Boom stage, Shambala Festival, LeeFest, Camp Bestival, where they warmed up for De La Soul (the last 9 minutes of which was entirely acapella!) and Glastonbury Festival where they played no less than eight shows including the “Opening Number” set where Mr. Eavis himself was seen on the dance floor.

Leon Rhymes and Standaloft step up with their next release and they have recruited a number of friends they have met over the last few years to create their largest and best output to date. The EP effortlessly weaves back and forth between the T’s and a collection of the hottest up-­‐and-­‐coming and established rappers whilst slickly flowing through a number of guest producers. The distinct sense of positivity and Old School vibes is what ties this whole release together, and Too Many T’s are at the helm. Whether that be during the nod to Cypress Hill in ‘Smoking Goodies ft. Sparkz’, or the feel-­‐good summertime anthem ‘Running Wild’, the gritty parody track ‘Wish I Never ft. HypeMan Sage’, or the allstar track, ‘Butter Rug’, which features a wealth of rappers including ‘Abdominal MC’ and ‘Lazy Habits’. The Running Wild EP is guaranteed to appeal to the duo’s diverse fan base, old and new. Too Many T’s are very much ready to take on the next level. Headfirst.

Their break came after they created the music for (ironically enough) a tobacco company's cinema advertisement which brought in the cash to set up the label and release their first CD, Acid (tm) Made Me Do It, in April 2000 to much acclaim, while their "African Dope Vol 1" compilation won the 2002 "Best Dance Album" SAMA award.
Never fixed on one style or genre, the label is dedicated to showcasing the finest local leftfield dub, hip-hop, dancehall, breakbeat, and drum 'n bass emerging from the streets of South Africa. Distribution in South Africa is by Soul Candi Distribution (as of July 2007, previously by Sony), in Europe by Lowlands distribution (Benelux), Al!ve AG (Germany), and CD1D.com (France), and they have comprehensive digital distribution via INgrooves (USA), Artspages (Scandinavia / China), Blue Pie Productions (Australia) and Vidzone.tv (UK).
The pre-2009 logo was designed by Watkin Tudor Jones after an amicable settlement with lawyers representing the Cape Outspan company whose own logo the previous one was just a little too similar to.
