Topic and Guests: Today AfricaNow! focuses on the recent escalating attacks by armed groups particularly the M23 on eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).  Joining the show from Goma in the eastern DRC is Congolese journalist Akilimali Chomachoma, who dissects the M23—Rwanda’s involvement; the continued neo-colonial role of multinational corporations and western nation to use the conflict to exploit the DRC’s vast resources journalist in Goma, DRC; the massive loss of life and the plight of internally displaced people and more.  The show also features insights from Nils Kinuani, Board Director, and Immigration Coordinator for the Congolese Community of Washington Metropolitan (CCWM), and Maurice Carney, co-founder and Executive Director of the Friends of the Congo.
