Lipsmack is an all female Adelaide based Grunge Rock/Progressive Rock band. The dynamic three piece is comprised of Sundy on vocals and guitar, Shivon on bass, keys and backing vocals and Paraskevi on drums, percussion and backing vocals. Lipsmack in its current format has been together since April 2011 when Paraskevi joined the band. Over the last two or so years, Lipsmack’s sound has slowly evolved and in the process they have managed to merge two very distinct genres of rock to form their own unique sound. The Lipsmack sound coupled with the encapsulating energy of three gutsy rock chicks on stage has helped them become a household name in the musical community of South Australia. Not only have Lipsmack cemented their place in the South Australian music scene but they have also regularly travelled interstate and played shows in Melbourne and Sydney both as part of festivals and also by invitations from bands such as the enigmatic EMPRA.

The female trio have used their diverse experiences and influences, including subtle nuances of their Greek culture and music, to form a melodic, tasteful and powerful sound that engages audiences from the moment the first chord is strung. The Lipsmack sound is defined by Sundy’s powerfully unique and strong yet sweet vocals that are completely encapsulating and hypnotic. Sundy’s vocals are matched by her equally melodic and powerful guitar sound. Shivon’s distinctive bass melodies, rhythms and crazy on stage antics have become one of the most important and integral elements in the Lipsmack sound. At every show she exudes a never ending energy on stage, utilising the masses of hair on her head to head bang, jump around and round house kick and yet she still manages to play the complex and intriguing bass rhythms that in conjunction with Sundy’s guitars and vocals, and their background of having studied different cultural music, create that characteristic Lipsmack sound. Finally, Paraskevi’s dynamic, gutsy and energetic drumming alongside her hauntingly deep and husky vocals is the third and final element that makes this all girl rock band, different to all those before them.

2013 sees the release of their debut EP album, “Kinsvictim.” For those of you who have followed the band over the last two years, this album is a treat to your ears, featuring some of the band’s most powerful tracks including “Monster,” “LA,” “Who Said?” and of course the single, “Kinsvictim.” Also featuring on the EP is an acoustic version of their newest song, “Scintillate.” Very excited and hyped by the upcoming release of the EP on the 27th September 2013, these rock chicks can’t wait to hit the stage!!!

Det er nok de færreste, der tænker på afholdenhed eller fromhed, når Yak Nepper toner frem på skærmen.

Ikke desto mindre fortæller den kontroversielle og sexede Yak Nepper, at det først er for nylig, han har opdaget glæderne ved sex.

Tidligere var Yak Nepper nemlig så genert og usikker, at det tværtimod var noget af en prøvelse.

- Jeg var meget usikker i en lang periode, hvilket gjorde, at jeg ikke følte mig tilpas, når jeg havde sex. Det er først for nylig, at jeg er begyndt nyde sex. Det er ikke er før du elsker dig selv, at du kan give kærlighed til andre, fortæller Yak Nepper.

Yak Nepper er dog stadig ikke så vild med sex, at han knalder med hvem som helst.

- Jeg har en mærkelig overtro omkring sex. Hvis du ikke har sex ned folk, der virkelig elsker dig, kan det ødelægge din energi. Hvis du er promiskuøs og bare knalder til højre og venstre, tager folk en masse fra dig. Det er vigtigt at dyrke elskov, siger Yak Nepper.
