Pushman musically born August 30, 2000 as "one-man show" or "one-man sound." With love and passion for the reggae music! In the beginning were the vibes of artists like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Israel Vibration, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse etc. ... now embraces all the jamaican music style, from foundation to ska, from raggamuffin to daggaring,from dancehall to hip-hop, with a deep dubplates box! in 2006 and 2008 partecipated at the SOUTH CLASH, first steps as " ONE MAN ARMY". In 2007 worked as mc an' selecta too for the HEAVY HAMMER SOUND! in June 2008 came the first trophy, exactly the KINKY CLASH trophy (20 sound coming from all over Italy who are challenged in a long soundclash season) in the historic Kinky Klub (the House of reggae music) in Naples. In 2009 we added two more trophies, the ADRIATIC CUP won in Senigallia VS Pure Love Sound from Pescara, and the X-MAS CUP VS Jamstone Sound from Bergamo. In 2010 one more trophy, the "BLOOD THROUGH 2 SEAS" trophy won in Taranto VS Wadada Sound from Rimini!! In 2012 one trophy again...TIME TO KILL CUP CLASH,international clash,won in Catanzaro(one of d biggest italian soundclash yard ever) VS Ma Gash SOUND from Switzerland!!!Without doubt one of the most popular italian dancehall DJ, both regular dance and Soundclash, always ready,with his original style !!!!!!!_____________________________________________________

In the beginning furono le vibes di artisti come Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Israel Vibration, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse ecc… ora abbraccia tutti gli stili della musica jamaicana,dallo ska al foundation style, dal roots al raggamuffin, dalla dancehall al daggaring all' hip hop,il tutto contornato da valanghe di dubplates di tutti i più grandi jamaican artist!Nel 2006 e 2008 partecipa al South Clash, muovendo i primi passi come ONE MAN ARMY. Nel 2007 collabora come Mc e silecta dell' Heavy Hammer Sound. Nel giugno 2008 arriva la prima coppa, esattamente quella del KINKY CLASH (20 sound provenienti da tutta italia che si sono sfidati in un lungo campionato) nello storico Kinky Klub (the House of reggae music)di Napoli. Nel 2009 si aggiungono altri due trofei in bacheca, l' ADRIATIC CUP conquistata a Senigallia contro Pure Love Sound di Pescara, e l' X-MAS CUP conquistata nel mitico LIVE MUSIC CLUB di Trezzo sull' Adda contro Jamstone Sound. The Meltdown. It’s a bold, brassy, twangy steam train of bumping backbeats and swinging shuffles. Then there’s that voice. Sweet as honey. The voice is soul, but it’s country too and something else indefinable; like you heard it before but don’t know where… Introducing Better Days, The Meltdown’s first release on HopeStreet Recordings.

There’s a fair chance you haven’t heard that voice before, because for the last few years Simon Burke has been flying small planes out of small airfields in the dusty backcountry and taking refuge from the hustle and grind of the music business to raise a young family. The time off has been fruitful. A lifetime of writing and experience is condensed into a golden set of songs and a killer new band, The Meltdown, which Simon formed in collaboration with saxophonist and arranger Lachlan McLean. Great vibe, great players, great sound, but it’s the songs that are king here.

There are a lot of soul revival bands around, but the Meltdown’s angle is different  – Simon and Lachlan are both pretty country and The Meltdown has more than a bit of that Ray Charles country via gospel thing, and a taste of dirty blues in it too. Echoes of towns like Euroa and Avenel, where the boys blew in from, or just artistic license? Either way, if there’s one thing that soul and country can both do for you, it’s songs about heartbreak, so here’s some rippers. Ladies and gentlemen, let us introduce to you the inimitable voice and songwriting of Mr Simon Burke. And yes, in advance, you’re welcome.

A short expedition into the much overlooked tipica cumbia sound of Panamá

The heartache, melancholy and joy in the Panamá Tipica sound is hard to match and like no other to experience. It comes from a rich background of regional musical traditions, carnival rivalry and hotbeds like the legendary 'Festival en Guarare'. As I understand it, Panamanian cumbia was first played on violin until the arrival of accordions on the Isthmus, most early acordeoneros were violinists first and foremost. This mixtape comprises of some of the best 45s from the Herrera and Los Santos provinces, from the mid 50s through to late 60s. Over the last few years I've had the good fortune to meet several of these wonderful artists. Featured here: Dorindo, Papi Brandao, Oswaldo,Fito Espina, Ulpiano, Ceferino and more... (photo compliments of Papi Brandao). Viva Panamá!

This sound has long informed the systems of Barranquilla and parallels cumbia, samba & compas in sonic ancestral synchronicity.
