Circa '95 is a Hip-Hop music and media group that celebrates the best of 90's Hip-Hop culture and beyond. Rhyming seamlessly through English and Spanish, the duo Patty Dukes & Reph are inspired by groups like The Beatnuts, WuTang, The Fugees, Tribe Called Quest and radio shows like the Bobbito and Stretch Armstrong Show. They perform all over the U.S. and have graced the stage with artists like Krs-One, Pitbull, NinaSky, Joel Ortiz and Mala Rodriguez to name a few. HBO Latino is currently featuring them in a show called "RoadTrip: NYC" and "Habla Ya". Currently they are promoting their debut album FREE LUNCH which was released 11.11.11. Puerto Rican & Dominican by way of The Bronx and Washington Heights they are poised to make their mark on the world.  Patty and Reph teach Hip-Hop, Theater, Mixed Media Arts and Social Justice workshops to young people in the South Bronx.

He is half human, half robot with a sick addiction to video games. She is a teenaged lyrical wiz with a growing collection of Nike SB’s. Together, they are Class of 93; a hip hop duo that is the perfect marriage of old school soul and new school flair. 
Consisting of Jermaine “soundcloud.com/astromega” Clarke, and Khadijah "http://soundcloud.com/kzaraw" Payne, Class of ’93 delivers a sound quite unlike the synth-heavy, dance like songs of today. 

“We’re all about staying original and keeping it fresh” says Astro Mega , the duo’s producer. 

“Rap is grimy,” adds Kzaraw, the MC. “And it’s going to stay that way”. 

They met through their business manager, and have been making music together for over a year. In July 2011, they released their first LP, the self titled “Class of 93”. Sonically, it is a tribute to the Golden Era of hip hop, with Mega providing gritty samples and hard hitting snares; and Kzaraw spitting raspy, intricate, rhymes that betray her young age. Each song on the album has a well thought out concept to keep the listener entertained. More than just passive lyricss over catchy beats, Class of 93’s music tells stories that their audience can relate to.

The pair’s influences range from MF Doom to Kid Cudi, with Mega also being a fan of R&B groups like Loose Ends and Kza liking alt rock bands like Paramore. Their diverse tastes in music help the group stay fresh and inventive with their own sound.

With a second LP in the works, the future looks bright for the industrious duo. When asked who they would like to collaborate with in the future, names like Nas and Ghostface Killah are mentioned. There is no denying that they have the talent to pull it off, but even if they never get a deal, the two would continue making music for music’s sake. 
“I’d love to make it big”, says Mega. “but that’s only gonna happen if I stay me”. 
“ I don’t want to rap for the money, though it would be nice” adds Kza. “I want to rap because I like rapping”.
