Katharsis Recordings has just launched a podcast series. The concept of our podcast is spreading the attraction/charms of Japanese scene both locally and globally. We will be out live recordings in Japan. 
It’s an honor to kick-off our 1st podcast with a killer live mix by guest Takaaki Itoh. This mix has been recorded somewhere in Shibuya in 2020. Enjoy his 2h set.

Lisa Mizuno is a Japanese DJ based in Tokyo. She has been part of techno and psychedelic trance scene all over the world, especially Japan and Europe.
While she dance and feel the moment,Realized the power of music has a great influence on people.
So, she use hypnotic techno music as approaching people’s subconsciousness to try to make their life more easier and fun.
She selects tracks that incorporate experimental elements and conscious of the flow that invites the listener towards to higher journey.
Her sound Inspired by our predecessors from various fields and connect with her philosophy of life.

This recording is from the final morning of The Labyrinth 2022, Monday October 10, at Hodaigi Campground, Gunma, Japan.

Hiyoshi opened at 9:00 a.m., and then John Elliott followed with a one-hour Imaginary Softwoods live set. Instead of presenting these as two different sets, we are sharing as a single recording to represent the morning as it actually transpired, and as it was intended.

This is for all of you who could not join us last year, and all of you who were still recovering from the night before and didn't make it to the floor in time to catch these beautiful, peaceful hours.

As always from Mindgames, this recording is high-fidelity, high-resolution sound. Please enjoy.

この音源は、昨年のLabyrinthの最終日、10月10日(月)の朝、群馬県の宝台樹キャンプ場で録音された。

午前9時にHiyoshiがオープニングを飾り、John ElliottがImaginary Softwoodsとして1時間のライブセットを披露したが、この2つのセットを別々に紹介するのではなく、ひとつのセットとして共有することで、意図した通りの素晴らしい朝の流れを感じてもらいたい。

昨年参加できなかった皆さん、参加したにも関わらず、前夜のダメージからの回復が間に合わずにこの美しく平和な時間を体験できなかったみなさんも是非。

また、通常通りではあるが、Mindgamesの音源はHi-Fi、ハイレゾ音源で提供している。

For our first installment, we bring you DJ HI-C’s incredible closing set from this year’s festival. A resident member of Moment, DJ HI-C combines hypnotic techno rhythms and turntablist techniques to create a totally unique and otherworldly groove. It marked the perfect end to this year’s festival and we’re delighted to be able to present it here for the first episode of Moment Archives.

DJ / from Tokyo. He is a world music/traditional folklore discoverer with an original point of view. On the floor, he invents freestyle grooves, manipulating everything from ethnic music to the latest electronic music.
He also writes, performs with international artists across genres, and supports invitation activities.
Since the fall of 2018, he has been the resident DJ at The Observatory, a club in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Curated the Myanmar traditional music remix disc "Kalab Mixed Myanmar #1" (Rollers), provided mixes for Worldwide FM and NTS, and performed at Rainbow Disco Club 2022 and Mindgames presents Balance.

For our second installment, we present YAMA, who captivated the audience as the sun was rising on the final day of the festival.
In this expertly crafted mix, Yama patiently and smoothly brings together a selection of euphoric boogie and house-leaning tracks, creating a unique space that bridges night and day. It was a very special moment at the festival and we’re delighted to present it here for you to enjoy as well!

Moment Archives 002 | YAMA

DJ Yazi has been active since the mid-1990s,  as a member of Tokyo’s notoriously avant-garde hip hop group called Think Tank. The record label Black Smoker Records founded by the group took their experimentalism to a series of club nights called El Nino, and DJ Yazi remains its resident for two decades. Drawing inspiration from across the musical spectrum: the mentality of hip hop, the intensity of dub and jazz, the ferocity of techno and the euphoria of house. As a DJ he moves fluidly across styles, with his sets connected by a strong focus on deep and tripped out grooves. His attention to details, precision and masterful control over the decks clearly show his long time involvement in this art form. He also performs with Haruka as Twin Peaks, an improvisational live/ DJ hybrid act. He currently hosts a regular techno/ industrial themed night called Konvektion at Contact, Tokyo together with Takaaki Itoh. After appearing in a Tokyo satellite event series New Assembly presented by Berlin Atonal in early 2017, he caught the attention of the festival directors, and made his European debut in Berlin playing Herrensauna at Tresor and Berlin Atonal 2017.
