Each iteration of the GWF track compilation is an important, personal milestone for me, as each time I push my limits and try to be efficient with everything I've learned so far.

I pull at the drawer and it resists me for a moment, the way things do when they've settled into themselves over time. There is that particular sound—wood sliding against wood—and then suddenly it gives way, revealing its contents with a quiet rattle. Morning light streams over each object; items that have rested in darkness since the last time I visited, their colors now vivid and startling. It is as if the drawer itself has been safeguarding small treasures meant only for me.

Early Reflex proudly presents 63N3RD [EYX021] introducing a bold new voice in experimental club music and the debut from biased, producer and DJ based between Milan and New York City.

63N3RD is a deeply personal project, written over a year while living in NYC, the EP draws from 16 years of clubbing experiences and biased's love for mixing and playing diverse sounds. It blends the unconventional with the danceable, capturing what he describes as "something you might not expect to sound good together, but somehow it does”.

The opener ‘K:umbia’ is a bold reinterpretation of cumbia rhythms, layered with experimental electronic textures and basslines that nod to his eclectic influences. ‘Winded’, follows next, with its pulsating off-kilter percussion and atmospheric undertones, capturing the restless energy of modern urban nightlife. The journey continues with ‘Riddimsburg’, an intricate blend of syncopated beats and sub-heavy grooves that weave unexpected elements into a compelling rhythmic tapestry. The EP closing track ‘Sottoterra’ brings a brooding yet dynamic track inspired by underground aesthetics, marrying dark ambiance with a forward-driving pulse

“I'm not a sound engineer. I just spent the last 16 years of my life clubbing and finally found a way to sum up a bit what these years have sounded into my ears. I wrote this EP over 18 months while living in NYC. It is deeply influenced by this experience as it is by all of the past music/club-related ones. It summarizes pretty much what I listen to and what I really like to mix and play. While working on this EP, I aimed for something a bit unconventional but still danceable—something you might not expect to sound good together, but somehow it does.”

PROJECT: REALM started from my addition to the Healer VA by Exiles + an old song I made back in 2022 and ended up being a full live set and story, presented at HALP festival, summer of 2024. 

The story follows a task force of interplanetary explorers sent to the exoplanet called REALM. The group's mission is to search and destroy an entity crowned The Great Guardian of Chaos. The being deemed a threat to the prophecies of the Imperial Oracles must be exterminated without fail. 

The first part of the story consists of Exploring the vast grasslands and crossing the barren highlands of REALM, leading up to the fight with said being. First they meet with an indigenous tribe, celebrating their yearly Carnival and ritual known as The Run, a rite of passage for the new adults in the tribe. They become their guides through the highlands leading to the mines of the Abhartach, the underground blacksmiths and engineers, newfound acolytes of The Great Guardian. During their journey they get Ambushed by a rogue member of the tribe, controller and tyrant of the highlands. They stand their ground, and manage to get away without any losses. 

They finally arrive at the mines and confront the celestial being, but Chaos they find and the fight is greater than they anticipated. After they fail to complete their task and with half their party wiped out, they flee deeper Underground where the Abhartach confront them, since the group enraged their deity and they must suffer for such a blasphemous act. 

The full story is already written but the music is yet to come. Since I'm not sure when I'll finish it (if ever), enjoy the first part as a little mix in its current state. If anyone would like a track dl separately, feel free to message me on instagram :D

Lucika (they/them) is an artist based in Brussels, Belgium. After years of composing music for others in theaters, they finally did something for themselves : a first solo release with Yuku. Coming from live sound design on & off stage, their field work consistently combines both a reflexive and an experimental practice with a variety of colours, from acoustic to electronic, introspective to adventurous, always focused on a precise rhythmic work. The outcome of this research is often a constructed deconstruction which slides aesthetically between the genres of bass, postclub and breaks.

Earth Memory Colander is a four-track tense and fragmented project that combines organic sounds, sharp rhythms and swarming noises to shape the backdrop of a peculiar story : the tale of Fruglub : a termite who has been chased away from home by their Queen, the termite Queen. Fruglub’s internal journey of confusion, introspection, and potential revenge mirrors the chaotic yet cohesive nature of the compositions.
