A session that came together almost by accident when a good friend of mine casually asked me if I'd like to play a set for a Coffee gig she was setting up, I said yeah and well the rest is in audio! :)

Really great night, tunes rolled nicely and the vibe was wicked!
Uploaded for your listening pleasure, its a much simpler and less involved mix than what I normally attempt but I was a tad nervous and wasn't too sure about taking too many risks, probably a tad rough around the edges but I think the vibe is good :)

Deusa do amor, Orixá das águas, Oxum é aquela que mantém em equilíbrio as emoções da fecundidade e da natureza. Ela é a rainha de todos os rios, cachoeiras e lagos, já que seu elemento principal é a água doce. É a representação da sensibilidade, da delicadeza feminina e da paixão para motivar a essência da vida.

In this song Zeca baleiro and Chico César interpret a famous "Ponto de Umbanda", Mamãe Oxum. Goddess of love, Orixá of waters, Oxum is the one who keeps in balance the emotions of the fecundity and nature. She is the Queen of all rivers, waterfalls and lakes, as her main element is freshwater. It is the representation of sensitivity, feminine delicacy and passion to motivate the essence of life.

Hoje estamos lançando nosso terceiro release, que está muito especial. 

Micheletti nos presenteou com o edit da música "Marinheiro Só", música do folclore brasileiro - portanto de domínio público. Sua autoria já foi atribuída, erroneamente, a Caetano Veloso, que gravou a canção em seu "álbum branco" de 1969. O fato levou Caetano a ser processado pelo compositor Onildo Almeida. A resposta de Caetano é esclarecedora:   

" 'Marinheiro só' é folklore, domínio público. Acho que saiu em algum disco como de minha autoria. Há a tradição de dar autoria automática a quem “adapta” a obra (vem da música clássica). Mas, em casos como esse, sou contra. [...] Pode pôr em qualquer lugar que 'Marinheiro só' não é minha. Não é não."  [1971]

O edit que estamos disponibilizando foi feito a partir de uma gravação de 1978, feita pelo mestre de capoeira Reinaldo Ramos Suassuna ou, como é mais conhecido, mestre Suassuna, em parceria com Dirceu, representando o grupo Capoeira Cordão de Ouro. Mestre Suassuna reinventou as sequências da capoeira e tem um vasto trabalho artístico e musical, é ícone na capoeira e tem reconhecimento internacional com discípulos atuando em vários países do mundo.

Produtor de festas e eventos, além de editor de som, Micheletti (@mmicheletti) atua como DJ na região de Araraquara (SP) desde 2015. Sua pesquisa musical é voltada aos ritmos populares brasileiros, misturados e remexidos com elementos eletrônicos, e à difusão dessa combinação em pistas de dança e junto à comunidade de DJs. Transita e vasculha a ampla seara da música tropical brasileira, em busca do batuque perfeito e da batida que faz o corpo vibrar.
