As far back as we can remember an afterhour has always been something very special. An episode of rest and yet also of departure. Always individually different and yet somehow categorically the same. This is exactly the spirit we try to musically depict with each of our compilations. 

Finally, this time we have also included exciting downtempo, midtempo and uptempo tracks. Each track is completely different in terms of mood and energy, but due to their atmosphere and playfulness, they fit perfectly into every (afterhour) playlist. Surely there is something for each of you. 

Our newest compilation is as usual a "Free Download" with voluntary donation. For this you can use the Bandcamp link below and decide for yourself what the project is worth to you. We can't get enough of the Hamburg youngster Niklas aka Ryan Haeng. His spherical and epic melodies, wrapped in a downtempo corset, have always inspired us. His track "Das Morgenrot" is in no way inferior to this. In fact, it has also been given an oriental touch by the vocals of Ameen Khayer, which give the whole thing an incredible beauty. With his music, the artist interweaves traditional folklore with electronic music, located in Downtempo / SlowHouse. Armenian Duduk, Guitar, Piano, Oud, vocals and atmospheric synths meet deep bass, world percussion and field recordings, recorded on other continents. Music that tells and takes you on a journey. In his unique track "La Tua Verita" he not only combines a good portion of lightness with depth, but also sings in Italian for the first time. Afterhour Sounds is since his begining in 2012 a crew of music lovers, music makers and music supporters. What started as an small idea developed over the years into an important institution in the field of electronic dance in and beyond germany. Our goal was and still is to enrich the world with different interpretations of the afterhour. 

In the beginning, we focused our passion on finding and supporting (un)known artists through blog posts, reposts and podcast contributions. Gradually, we expanded our sections to include live recordings and premieres. In-house releases and events were not long in coming. The crew changed, but the passion and spirit remained.
