With remarkably smooth skills Madmotormiquel threads his audio tracks through genres and stilistic hints, creating harmonic coherence from elements that seem to be contrary. For instance Hip Hop and floorward boosting dance music: In Daddy Are You Proud the producer from Berlin spreads jazzy piano samples and poetic rap among a booming bass line and whipping hi hats. Rather than focusing on the vocal, Mollono.Bass follows the synthesizer line from the accoustic background of the original... a journey that leads him straight into mind-boggling melodic depths. The atmospheric dynamics of Recall evolve as a result of rhythmic chain reactions in the lower and upper frequency spectrum, diffusig into the twilight of dramatic pad sounds. Last but not least there is the playful irony of Too Much Money Not Enough Style, a beautiful contrast between a dreamy piano and bubbling beats. Catchy grooves from a mesmerizing world in between styles!

Andreas’ techno journey ignited near the Dutch border in West Germany, where he was immersed in the vibrant underground rave scene. Inspired by the raw, hypnotic sounds of the mid-90s, Andreas embarked on a sonic odyssey, mastering production and mixing. Vor sechs Jahren wurde „Stupid Guy“ mit einem Remix von Nayan Soukie, Teil vom Duo Soukie & Windish und Labelgründer von URSL, veröffentlicht. Damals war das einer der ersten Releases von Schlepp Geist und wohl sowas wie die Initialzündung für seine Karriere. Heute ist Nayan mit seinem Solo-Live-Projekt Amount am Anfang der Karriere und diesmal haben beide sogar eine gemeinsame EP produziert. Lange hat es gedauert: „Silverwings“ gibt es jetzt seit vier Jahren und ein bisschen hört man dem Track noch eine andere Zeit an. Nichtsdestotrotz war das Feedback bei Livegigs von Schlepp Geist so enorm, dass sie sich endlich dazu entschieden haben, den Track rauszubringen und dazu mit „Bay of Joy“ ein genauso strahlige, aber deutlich technoidere Nummer dazuzupacken.

One might not expect that multi-talented artist Rey&Kjavik is originally from the Rhine-Main-area hence his chosen DJ- and producer-moniker and also because of his eclectic musical approach. But matter of fact Rey&Kjavik is one of the few artists that represents the once so blooming region in the middle of Germany, whilst ‘blooming’ is to be understood in regards to the current development in the electronic music scene and its subcultural life in the Rhine-Main-area.

During the years the Frankfurt producer and DJ became an indispensable part of the international house scene. On the one hand there is a never-ending series of powerful hits such as "Hwmym", "Face It" or "Baba City".
With their gripping basslines, these tracks immerse themselves completely into the fervor of the night. His stirring melodies and his vocals for the most part sung by himself develop a wide-ranging emotionality, ensuring the tracks are not just DJ food, but break into the brain and the heart of the listeners. On the other hand there is the unique stage presence of the Frankfurt producer and DJ, who, with all his decisiveness, always conveys a sense of his
crowd. Rey&Kjavik appeared in most of Europe's leading clubs and festivals, playing in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Turkey, Russia and Singapore. As a preliminary highlight of his
career, he appeared at the festival of festivals, at Burning Man, in 2015 and 2016. 

His debut album RKADASH came out on Katermukke and made quite some impact around the world.
In 2018 he released his second long-player, ‘Mountiri’, on his own label RKJVK, which depicts two topics the artist wants to emphasize: a holistic musical approach combined with cultural diversity.

Over the years he developed a signature sound that perfectly fits into the actual dance music zeitgeist of rave nomads chasing the hottest spots on planet earth to unite, dance and meditate.

Afterhour Sounds is since his begining in 2012 a crew of music lovers, music makers and music supporters. What started as an small idea developed over the years into an important institution in the field of electronic dance in and beyond germany. Our goal was and still is to enrich the world with different interpretations of the afterhour. 

In the beginning, we focused our passion on finding and supporting (un)known artists through blog posts, reposts and podcast contributions. Gradually, we expanded our sections to include live recordings and premieres. In-house releases and events were not long in coming. The crew changed, but the passion and spirit remained.
