Obwohl es der Titel vermuten lässt, hören wir hier gar keine singenden Mädels. Dafür verwegene, dreifach destillierte, dunkelbunt eingefärbte Tanzmusik in zeitgenössischer Auf-die-Zwölf Architektur; im Fachjargon auch als Brett bezeichnet. Dafür haben sich Just Emma mit ihrem Produzenten- und Feier-Freund Joss Martin zusammengetan, und das Resultat geht in seiner schlingernden Eingängigkeit tatsächlich nochmal deutlich über die Summe dieser bemerkenswerten individuellen Talente hinaus. Dole & Kom schreiben die Geschichte im unbemüht fließenden Vibe und doch auf unerklärliche Weise zwingenden Druck von Groove-Altmeistern neu. Und The Glitz zetteln mit dem auf den Punkt gebrachten Knall ihres Remix noch eine weitere Runde ausufernden Tanzflächen-Krawall an.
Despite the title, there's no singing girls in here. Nope, it's just a bold, triple distilled, nocturnal and highly intoxicating piece of dance music, designed to hit the floor with maximised impact; we could also just call it a classic banger. Just Emma joined creative forces with fellow producer and party animal Joss Martin, and the rolling and grinding result does indeed exceed the sum of this remarkable reunion of talent. Dole & Kom rewrite this story in the unmistakable style of highly experienced old hands, mixing a smooth, unpretentious vibe with some carefully incorporated kick-ass features. The escalating dancefloor riot goes on and on, as The Glitz throw in another high-octane remix that is bursting with bass-heavy peaktime vibes.

Parallela is a new enigmatic artist who hails from Tel Aviv and arrives on thescene with no social media accounts or digital footprint. It's the music that comes first and he has been snapped up by Stripped Down who are going to work alongside him to get his richly emotive sounds out to the world.

For a brand-new artist, Parallela has a remarkably accomplished sound. The first track 'Waypoint' proves that with its angelic synth work and smooth rolling drums. There is a classical elegance to the arrangement that is underpinned by lush beats and an aching vocal that casts a hypnotic spell. It's epic in scale and stylish in execution. 'Q Point' shows a different side - here the drums are heavier, the synths are tense and tortured and the organic percussion adds detail to this late-night exploration. The human blink is controlled by the subconscious. The reflexive closing movement of the eyelids clean and protect the eyes. When we blink, the visual centre in the brain is regulated. Therefore, we do not consciously perceive this whole process and the briefly reduced incidence of light. On average, this procedure is conducted 10-15 times per minute. In moments of great excitement, joy or concentration, we can blink significantly less often. Due to the excessive focus, the blinking becomes a consciously controlled process for a certain amount time. The first Joe Carl EP on KataHaifisch contains two tracks. Both are well suited for a club setting. Strong basses create a dancing mood and hypnotic leads a dreamy atmosphere. In both songs you can hear the unique style of Joe Carl. After he was already represented on our last compilation and is also involved in some current remix projects with us, we are particularly pleased to be able to present Sydka's new EP on our label today, which has the catchy title "Snakes and Ladders".

The saying Snakes and Ladders refers to situations in which people or events appear to go forward and backward, seemingly at random. Everyone can relate to this feeling and knows that life can sometimes feel like an endless loop of recurring experiences. It is all the more important to switch off your head from time to time and simply go with the flow of the moment.

Sydka's EP provides the perfect soundtrack for this vibe. The two originals, which come with his unmistakably groovy and detailed sound, are rounded off by three diverse remixes by Glenn Shaw, Flave and Kon Faber, which all give the original a unique twist.

We are very happy that the EP has finally seen the light of day and want to thank all the artists involved for their great work, as well as Haunted Water for the smooth mastering and Kilian Van de Water for the harmonious artwork.

What started as an small idea developed over the years into an important institution in the field of electronic dance in and beyond germany.
