Ash & Eric (formerly ‘The Promise is Hope’) have never shied away from life’s hard edges. Hailing from the gritty heart of the Industrial Revolution -- Worcester, Massachusetts -- the two find consolation in discovering beauty from the challenges of being artists in the most stubbornly independent cities in the north east. Their musings reflect the hope and pain we all experience sung in voices as vulnerable and honest as their lyrics. Their songs feel like a warm welcome, a shoulder to lean on and a hand to hold at the end of a long day. In addition to top tier writing that No Depression says will have you “...coming away from many of these [songs] cleansed,” their warm harmonies, swirling acoustic guitars, and easy stage presence have earned them a dedicated following in the North East folk scene. Their highly-anticipated debut LP (their third as a duo, but first under “Ash & Eric”) was recorded, mixed and produced by Eric at a boarding school in Western Massachusetts; and will be released in early 2022 alongside an accompanying 25-minute visual EP.

Songwriting, production and DJ duo Gamble & Burke specialize in  melodic, genre-blending electronic music. Inspired by soul, disco and  R&B, the bi-coastal (Boston meets LA) musicians have an ear for the  latest production wizardry along with traditional & timeless pop  sensibilities.  Daniel Burke met Kaz Gamble in 2010 when he was working on an 80's  electro film scoring project. The chemistry was immediate & they  decided to form Gamble & Burke.  
The duo's impressive debut  was their “Let’s Go Together” EP on Parisian  taste-making label, Kitsuné Music. Support was garnered on BBC Radio 1,  Kiss FM London, College radio and DJ’s such as Tiësto, Benny Benassi  and Kissy Sellout.  The hard-working duo have continued to release a steady stream of  productions & collaborations such as TjH87’s  Top 40 hit "Good  Life", the 1.5 million viewed “All on Me” w/ Case & Point & have  been co-writing for respected, well-known DJs and performers such as  German legend Boris Dlugosch,  indie discofunk goddess Megan Vice,  American drumstep pioneers Terravita.  
Gamble & Burke have returned to the airwaves, mixtapes, playlists and dancefloors of late by releasing a host of  back to back releases.  Following a Top 10 poptastic collaboration with Australian  superstar  DJ’s, Rave Radio with “Carry You”, G&B hit paydirt in 2019 with the  viral (y'all thought it was Daft Punk) TKNIK banger, "Baby You Want."  Next up, the super catchy, feel good anthem, "Good Times" - an exciting  collaboration with MGNS.

Against the Green features the collaborative expression of Penny and Dave Johnson, partners in life and song. Combining sounds of ardent folk with the experimental nature of our times, the duo presents soundscapes and poetry that taps both contemplation and adventure inside all of us.  Heartfelt harmonies and melodic textures weave together to create a fabric that is unique to the ATG sound, begging the listener to simplify and be present.

Against the Green has been writing, recording and performing for 18 years on both the east and west coasts.
