Jalaa's new single "Sekhmet" is part of the upcoming Jalaa EP, which is composed entirely of songs invoking the Ancient Goddesses. Based on the study of the rhythms and symbolic universe of some Goddesses from different Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cultures.

Sekhmet, is the Lioness goddess of Kemet (Ancient Egypt), and opens our sonorous tribute to the great divine mothers.

The goddess Lioness is the divine principle of creation. Everything that is created only exists thanks to the inspiration given by Sekhmet. She is a solar goddess whose anger teaches us to move towards defending what is important to us and our limits. Guardian of justice, strength, healing and power.

"Sa Sekhem Sahu", is an ancient mantra that invokes the strength of the Lioness, it means: "With each breath, divine strength enters me".

Sekhemet, the powerful, we salute you so that through your strength and wrath, the Feminine that inhabits us may be free.
