Stereotype is a hip-hop/R&b singer/songwriter/producer currently living and working in Las Vegas,NV. He was born in southern California but lived in many cities in the southwest U.S. where most of his developing education included music. His personal style is eclectic reflecting his nomadic upbringing and multicultural roots.

Incorporating funky bass lines, authentic drum kits, and harmonies are part of his goal to create fresh compositions. In the artist's words, "The music makes me, I am the instrument."

Coming from vocalist parents, Stereotype began singing in church choir and minor school productions  at a young age. He learned to read music in band, as first chair of the trumpet section every year leading into high school. He attended Chula Vista High School SCPA as a vocal major, where he spent 3 years with The Main Attraction, an award winning advanced-mixed show choir. At 17 he began individual work producing and songwriting at a family studio in Las Vegas, before deciding to pursue an Audio Production degree. In 2010 he began studies at The Art Institute of Las Vegas, before turning to an independent performing career, he is currently enrolled at Full Sail University to complete the program.

As a songwriter,  Stereotype has committed to composing timeless art that transcends genres. He refrences the accomplishments of various artists and bands such as: the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Prince, and Ice Cube for motivation and inspiration. "My goal is to use my personal trials and emotions to create music that anyone and everyone can connect to."
