Today is the Shaheedi Purab of Shaheed Bhai Seetal Singh Mattewal and Shaheed Bhai Tarsem Singh Mattewal of Dasmesh Regiment, who attained shaheedi in one the greatest battles of Khalistan on 12th September 1991, in the village of Bolowali. Three more singhs of Dasmesh Regiment also attained shaheedi in the battle, Shaheed Bhai Gurdial Singh, Shaheed Bhai Gurmukh Singh Bagga and Shaheed Bhai Gurmukh Singh Secretary.
