Filled with contrasts in light and shadow and all the shades in between, Afterlife is thrilled to announce a collaborative release of Mind Against and Aether.  ‘Solaris’ is a melancholic listen in the form of a three track EP that brings in the light, dives in the dark and finally grounds you.

The title track ‘Solaris’ starts off with a poised, hypnotic groove that surges into arpeggiated chords, lighting the way. ‘Eclipse’ drifts off into a svelte bassline working with a darker, driven composition of synths. ‘Event Horizon’ finishes with an immaculately hewn journey, with focus on harmonic developments and whirring polymetrics.

Matrixxman has been a Dekmantel regular for a couple of years now. The San Francisco producer continues to impress with a new triptych for Dekmantel Records. Over the course of three EP’s (Rhythm, Acid, Polyphony), Charles McCloud Duff displays his versatile and original take on house and techno. The concept of the triptych is to explore the range within the confines of a particular limitation. 

This second EP "Sector II: Acid" shows an exercise in acid. Similarly, the TB-303 may conjure certain knee-jerk reactions at a glance, but acid has the potential to cover a broader palette of emotion than one might initially expect. Sector II holds three squirming 303 sequences and the classic rhythmic drum programming of ‘Arrival’, ‘Bad Acid’ and ‘I Am Matrix’. ‘Rites’ on the other hand is more subtle and fluent, swinging with hazy acid flourishes and dynamic syncopation.

To some of you, Fiero will need no introduction, the Colombian via New-York analog synth wizard has released some of the most highly sought after proper disco music this side of 1978. Here is his first time on Giallo Disco, with his darkest compositions yet. Hot flanged pads, detuned basslines, 606 madness, space choirs, it's all here. Imagine if Goblin and / or Stefano Mainetti did a New Beat tribute to Carpenter and you'd be getting warm. You've fallen, it's rising from the swamp, and you can't get away... Amazing!!

PREMIERE : Fiero - Bang And Burn

From Another Mind first started as a South German party series but soon evolved into a fully fledged label run by SHDW & Obscure Shape. Now it operates as a label and for the fourth release, they've invited a high-profile techno squadron to remix some of their tracks.

Artists like Rødhåd, Dax J, Konstantin Sibold and Ryan James Ford have all offered up their own high-octane and emotive re-imaginings of the duo's tracks but today we feature Tale of Us & Mind Against's edit.

Their remix of 'Die Weiße Rose' is a piledriving techno behemoth, one suited for dark, dank warehouses. Its synths zap across the forefront while venomous kicks thump away in the background.

It's the sort of demonic, mutant-energy track we've come to expect from both sets of producers and we're fairly certain it's going to explode. Check it out exclusively below.
