Originating from the Doncaster and Bulleen suburbs, The Ro-Shamboes consist of James Morcom and Matt Rice. Best friends since childhood, in 2007 the two music fuelled Melbournites decided to focus their energy into a two-piece acoustic duo, after sharing in many larger projects through their teenage years. 

Quickly developing a thorough onslaught of cover songs, the Ro-Shamboes gained astounding momentum and had pubs and bars filled consistently. They held a residency at The Spreadeagle Hotel in Richmond, and consistently played shows at The Pavilion Doncaster, East Brunswick Club, and countless engagement parties and special events. Refusing to be lost in the formula of Triple M power ballads and Cold Chisel cock-rock, The Ro-Shamboes challenged themselves to take on more cult-favoured songs with their own flavor added; ranging from indie pop hits, to hip-hop classics, to folk song-stories, and the odd classic sing along. 

In 2010, both James and Matt caught the travel bug and went on their separate journeys to different parts of the world, only to find themselves both settled back into Melbourne by 2014. 

Now The Ro-Shamboes have sharpened up their repertoire, set up a home studio, and begun writing and recording original pieces. Happy to find neither had lost their hunger for the music, the scene and the crowds, The Ro-Shamboes are setting their sights on the next lot of challenges and taking their experience to the next level.
