This song was ready for about 3 months or so. Venus Panthar wanted to create a video to it but unfortunately her labtop collapsed and she lost all her data. Dear Venus, please pardon me, but I can't wait any longer, okay ?

Did so much Funk in the last time. This here is somthin' completely different. It's a Rock Ballad.
It is not often that I have the opportunity to play the acoustic guitar because I don't own one by myself. A few months ago a friend of mine had gone on a trip to Jamaica for 3 weeks. He lend me his Martin and his Ovation. And so I recorded three weeks long like a devil. This track includes stuff I played at that time.

James and me have done a new common project. This is our 4th collaboration. 
I recorded the instrumental about 2 months ago and sent it to James. He started to play his guitar to it and he did it as marvelous as he always do. He used a Bill Lawrence L 500 XL Blade Humbucker through his Line 6 Flextone Plus combo. 

James - this is gorgeous !! The FX's blow off my shoes !!

THE BLUE MOOD ANTHEM, 2009 / 2013

Today Dave and me want to release 2 versions of the same song. What makes collaborations so interesting is the fact, that we both had different conceivabilities to the final version of this tune. After discussing we decided to publish both ones - Dave's fav is going to his page and  mine I just loaded up to my site. Both versions are common productions and don't compete against each other. 

I recorded the basic parts of this song in 2009. It was originally constructed as a vocal track.
More than 3 years later I thought it could also be very fine to create a pure instrumental version of it with monumental guitar solos.
So I asked my friend Dave to listen to the basic instrumental for getting in touch with it. And so he did. After a while he sent me his guitar parts and I had to be spoilt for choice.
The final mix now includes 2 solo guitar parts. The first is played by Dave, the second one by me.
The whole track is filled up with lots of percussions like chimes, bells, cowbells, hand percussions and stick percussions, castanets and I also used marimbas, vibes and even a flute - not usual for a Pop Rock song.
Additionally, Dave played a string part to his and my guitar solo - so sweet !

Dear Dave - thank you so much for working with such a huge enthusiasm on this song ! Before I started to redo this track I knew exactly that you are the one and only for this exercise. Your style of playing the axe was predestinated for the imaginations I had. And I had been so right !

Dave Rodriguez and me just released a song in 2 different versions, called "THE BLUE MOOD ANTHEM". 

"THEN YOU CAME" is the original vocal version of those tunes. It was recorded in 2009 and got remastered 2012.

Ben Podder is the ultimative singer artist. He wrote the lyrics and sang to the song. When the instrumental was ready I sent the file to him and a week later I got it back. Folks - I couldn't believe what I heard there !

FUNK IT UP !!

2 years ago Ben Podder and me realized this monster song of 8.40 min. length !

Don't panic ! You won't get bored ! 

The story Ben is tellin' here is completely true. I wrote the lyrics years ago, shortly after all that happend. Ben changed them a bit but the content is still authentic.

In 2010 I'd played, programmed and recorded this instrumental. When Ben heard it he got enthused by and wanted to sing to it. So I told him about those older lyrics I once wrote. As I said before, Ben changed them a bit because the original wording was quite too "ordinary" for him. He's working as a doctor and his patients could get it wrong. He is a gynecologist !

This is another example for Ben's unique art of singing. 

Did my best for mixing a good sound but this time there are some deficits I couldn't avoid. Anyway, that doesn't matter !

In 2009 I recorded another track with Ben Podder. He sang to it and the song was titled "Crazy Relation".
What you will hear now is the instrumental version of that song. Couldn't remaster the vocal tune because I haven't the single recording tracks of Ben's voice. 

So I decided to publish the pure instrumental number.. 

This is a re-post in better sound quality.
