Longtime Kompakt family member Gui Boratto is currently celebrating the 15th anniversary of his landmark album “Chromophobia” and seems to be feeling retrospective in his remix of “Interstellar Cowboy”. Gui’s uncanny ability to bridge minimalism and lush electronics is fully brought to life.

Sharing Sasha’s highly anticipated rework of Photek’s seminal cut ‘Aviator’. This track has been catching attention and accruing never ending track ID/release requests ever since Sasha dropped it in his Beatport ReConnect live stream at the start of lockdown. It’s now finally out, marking the start of an exciting new project from Sasha and Last Night On Earth..

Re-interpreting the theme from Photek’s 2011 Aviator EP kicks off the TEN project in a powerful way. The immense synth chords and tight drums make this rework a hypnotic builder with Sasha’s stamp undoubtedly present. This 10 minute odyssey transforms the original into a track ready for the club.

The Saqqara EP is a multilayered, sonic canvas from the mind of Chris Barratt, as he launches his new alias, Barratt, for Life and Death. Fine brushstrokes move from all areas of his musical hideout, spreading over five, varied, aural sculptures, each one warping and weaving on its own cosmic trajectory. Pooling from key aspects of his Eagles & Butterflies project, Barratt induces new musical shades, hinting at moments of disco and funk, through a lens of psychedelia. 

The title track is a late-night floor-filler - a bold yet uniquely personal necropolis built from riveting delays and arpeggiators. Time Bending sees DJ Tennis join in, stepping up with his trademark, rough around the edges production aesthetic, en route to unknown destinations. Barratt hones-in on a confident, stripped-down style on Khaos - rhythm versus melody -  just in time for festival season. 1983 soundtracks a ride to utopia on a rocket-fueled Vespa, leading to Collider, the land of un-quantised madness, where the most treasured of synthesisers live amongst their drum machine counterparts. 

Flowing yet incredibly interconnected, Saqqara is best interpreted as a mini artist album - the first of many Barratt offerings.

01. Agoria - All Over You feat. Sacha Rudy (Agents Of Time Remix)

Hot on the heels of the release of Agoria's original soundtrack for French comedy Lucky comes a new package of remixes. Bonafide dance music talents Oxia and Agents of Time both add their own unique spin to 'All Over You', due for release on Friday April 3rd.

Lucky is a comedy about a pair of friends who need to get out of financial difficulty. The soundtrack is the second Agoria has produced for director Olivier Van Hoofstadt and it comes ahead of a busy year that will see the French artist play Unlimited Festival, DGTL in Amsterdam, Brazil and Chile and Kappa Futur as well as serve up more new music, movie scores and remixes. But first is the second in an ongoing series of remixes from the Lucky soundtrack.

Agents of Time time are making bold moves with their new night Cymatiks which aims to "make sound visible," but are of course also esteemed DJs and producers who run their Obscura label and are known for their trippy and emotional techno. Their remix will have the club in raptures as it teases out a bright lead synth line and the big chords are left to suspend you in mid air. It is a melodic masterpiece filled with colour.

Oxia is the legendary Frenchman behind enduring hit 'Domino' but who has gone on to release on the likes of Kompakt, Hot Creations and 8bit amongst many more. His version is superbly deep and melodic, with swaying drums and sombre chords all light up with the airy vocals sounds which carry you away into a lush day dream.

This is a vital package of remixes that rework the original into real dance floor dynamite.

Agents Of Time is the project of Andrea Di Ceglie and Luigi Tutolo. A revered two­man live act, DJs and masters of their sound in the studio. 
Since starting their journey together as Agents Of Time, the two Italians have combined their talents and shared influences to become a globally in­demand dance act, releasing on a number of leading labels along the way. A much­loved debut 12” on Correspondent in 2014, ‘Polina’, marked them out as an exciting new name in the realm of emotional, melodic techno and kickstarted their touring career. 
A hardware­heavy, improvisational live set spanning house, techno and acid is at the heart of what they do. The two members perform around a square table, facing each other, translating a symbiotic energy through the machines and communicating through instinct and gesture. A complex, unique and unpredictable dance between human minds and analog equipment that invariably creates moments of magic. Their live set was partly inspired by an expert of the craft in Mathew Jonson, and it is telling of Agents Of Time’s success that they now count Jonson as a collaborator. ‘Repeating Patterns, Numbers and Letters’, Agents Of Time’s first studio collaboration with Jonson came out in March 2019, following live shows together at Rex Club (Paris) and Movement Festival (Torino). 
The adventurous spirit and heady sound palette is channeled into house, techno and more obscure selections. 
Their work in the studio is a free­flowing ritual, an extension of what they do on stage. ‘Spread The Word’, their debut album came out Stem Records in 2014 and was followed by hit EPs for Maceo Plex’s Ellum Audio, their own label Obscura and Curle Recordings. A relationship with Tale Of Us and multiple appearances at Afterlife events has also led to Agents Of Time signing to Afterlife with the stunning ‘Dream Vision’ EP and 'Paradigm' on the Realm Of Consciousness compilation. 

The Agents Of Time are taking careful steps and showing themselves to be gifted, versatile performers with each one. Whether on record, on stage or at an any event, count on a high­quality output, finely balanced between experimentation and a straight dancefloor vibe.
