01. DJ Pierre feat. Felicia - Come Together (What Is House?) (Supernova Deep 2013 Mix)

Fabian Argomedo makes his debut on Agile with some hip-shaking grooves and bounce galore. &#8220;Breaking Bass&#8221; boasts a crackling rhythm section complete with skipping hi-hats that never let up. Vocal snippets add the necessary high end touch while a sneaky piano loop makes its appearance subtly, and a warped crooner takes center stage and dominates the rest of the track. Label boss Uto Karem strips a few things away but adds extra percussion while keeping the affair in looped mode. The rubber-band bass makes sure no momentum is lost, and his version makes heavy use of the piano before leading us into an apocalyptic, Uto Karem-styled breakdown.

DurtysoxXx, Shane Fontane - Bump (Anti-Slam & W.E.A.P.O.N. Remix)(preview)

Pride Saraceni is known for his monstrous grooves, so this EP is definitely aptly titled, with the homonymous track boasting a hypnotic bassline running under the shuffling rhythm section, and persistent noise loops adding the momentum. A haunting vocal adds a touch of class and anticipation, while filtered chords are employed for that extra Techno edge. 
 On &#8220;Domino Effects&#8221; things take a dubbier turn, with spacious fx setting the cavernous tone, reinforced greatly by the pitched-down, spoken word vocal. Familiar sonar stabs keep the train rolling, and the snappy drums balance out the thick, tense atmosphere.

Our fourth Agility sampler is a reality and things are definitely strong with Paride Saraceni kicking things off with the tribal-infused &#8220;Balearic&#8221;. Hollen beefs things up and is up next with locomotive grooves and cavernous effects, while Yado Atiz is up next to switch things up and inject some house vibes with his rubber-band bass and subtle chords. Nino Bua dubs things out and offers some mangled vocal action, and Sunrose together with Riccardo Sabatini pull back the gears just a bit and add some classy, haunting melodies.

Sometimes, when talking about musicians who chose to remain faceless it’s easier [read: simpler] to just start with the facts. Much respected in house and techno circles, ItaloJohnson are a Berlin based trio who release what they call ‘functional sketches’ that combine their own array of influences with a very un-complex formula; on vinyl and on their own label. They have, so far, unleashed eight stamped platter transmissions, which have all been released with the same minimal fanfare but, as their sparse and monochrome website states: “ItaloJohnson is in no way trying to reinvent the wheel, rather trying to create reduced and functional sketches which can carry emotions through a DJ and dancefloor oriented sound.”

Seemingly more than aware of their place and the impact the music they produce and release is having in certain club spaces, they’ll be appearing at WetYourSelf’s Bank Holiday celebration on Sunday 24th August in Room One alongside the WYS! Residents Cormac, Peter Pixzel and Jacob Husley. Ahead of their appearance they’ve crafted a thoughtfully rugged and essential promotional mix that will undoubtedly go a long way to learn you way more about their outlook and their music than this fact-found introduction ever could…

In 2008 we started our first digital release with Mladen Tomic's and Sinisa Tamamovic's EP. Six years after our label heads decided to deliver a new EP together. On n' Off EP opens with a track by Sinisa Tamamovic called 'Nights On'. Sinisa's fresh new techno groove and massive bass lead us into a dark loopy melody; putting all elements into a hypnotic break before the bass hits again. The second track called 'Lights Off' produced by Mladen Tomic goes more into a sub groove with a rising break, electronic effects, short sampled vocals which definitely make an atmosphere which defines Mladen's signature sound. The boys are back in town!

Sinisa Tamamovic - Nights On - Night Light Records

The latest offering from Rob Hes is a synth-heavy monster, as you have probably guessed from his track record so far. With the whole affair built around a feelgood riff which constantly evolves and mutates, the aptly-titled &#8220;The Kingmaker&#8221; also boasts tough sub-bass and a grinding rhythm section to match. Things are completely different on &#8220;So Sexy&#8221; where Rob treats us to a carefully unfolding, locomotive groove. Mangled vocals find their way effortlessly between the cavernous effects, while the persistent percussion provide the necessary momentum.

Marco Bailey plays Room Two on 2nd April for Intec Presents at fabric. Please note that advance tickets have sold out for this event but there will be plenty available on the door.

Founded by Carl Cox in 1998, over its long history Intec has turned out countless classics. A huge vehicle that fuelled dancefloors with quality cuts during its vinyl powered heyday, after a brief hiatus the operation was re-thought and re-launched for the digital realm in 2010 with Jon Rundell stepping up to the plate to help oversee the label and lend a hand to the A&R process. Encouraging their roster of established and emerging talent to draw on a new aspect of their production Intec Digital has welcomed something special from each one of their sounds. 

We first hosted Intec in Room One back in October 2013, an event which began a run of Thursday night sessions which have never failed to be brimming with the grand scale of energy that Cox and Rundell never fail to bring to a dancefloor. So, seeing that these have always been such memorable experiences, it made perfect sense to take full advantage of the upcoming Easter weekend (and the first Bank Holiday of the season) to bring Intec in for an all night long takeover of both Room One and Two enabling us to showcase more of the label's talent with a cast that includes Carl Cox, Jon Rundell, Carlo Lio, Monika Kruse, Marco Bailey & Harvey Mckay.

In the lead up to the event in question we've aligned some mixes from the artists set to come and express their sounds this Easter coming, starting today with an exclusive mix from techno stalwart Marco Bailey. Here he demonstrates his capacity for ramping up the energy levels between hypnotic states, a set sure to lock anyone into the groove of a dancefloor.

Dema strikes back on Agile and &#8220;Together But Alone&#8221; is a moody groover, with a persistent rhythm section leading the way and a commanding vocal spread throughout the length of the affair.&nbsp; Extra class comes from analog synth goodness which adds both to the track&#8217;s vibe and oomph-factor.&nbsp; On &#8220;Fusion&#8221; we are treated to a more spacious approach and simple percussion patterns; another testament to Dema&#8217;s clever production skills, leaving ample room for each element to breathe.

Eram - Swangin' (Original Mix)

Mastiv makes his Agile debut by demonstrating his effortless style and impeccable skills in all three of the cuts.&nbsp; The title track is up first and sets the tone perfectly with a sleazy bassline, commanding stabs and soaring synths.&nbsp; &#8220;Dr. Dachno&#8221; picks up in the same vein, led by the driving bass, while electronics are graciously sprinkled on top of the crystal-clear production.&nbsp; Closing up with &#8220;Schmutz&#8221;, we are introduced to a discordant vibe as warped synthesis takes center stage and otherworldly effects propel the affair to the next level.

Mastiv - Elastisch (Original Mix)

Lewis returns to Agile, and the title track of the EP clearly shows his tendencies with haunting melodies taking center stage and the rhythm section effortlessly grinding away.&nbsp; The subliminal vibe continues on &#8220;Analyze&#8221;, yet the momentum is kicked up a notch for maximum effect while mangled vocal snippets are interlocked with the drums, and spacious effects lace the whole affair with class.

Devid and Luca team up for two juicy tracks, and &#8220;Elephant&#8221; is up first with its sticky bassline and grinding rhythm section.&nbsp; The focus shifts to the haunting stabs and the affair is completed by otherworldly effects working away subliminally.&nbsp; 
&#8220;Memory&#8221; takes a slightly different route as manic chords provide the momentum, and the bubbling bass intertwines with the looped-out vocal snippets in the background.

Juan Ddd returns to Agile with his new techno EP ‘Kings’. Juan starts things off with ‘Kings’ which is a futuristic blend of techno bleeps. A pulsating melody mixed up perfectly with a gritty driving bassline. ‘El Bronx’ has the same techno feeling, a bouncy techno groove joining an array of elusive melodies on the foreground. The melody is then mixed with a heavy bassline that remains distorted while the varied of elements give to this track an epic feel. Closing this EP is ‘Queens’, with solid drums and plenty of haunting samples. This track holds a serious techno groove as it bounces over synths, though a lot of credit goes to the melody, which is contagious. A perfect EP and extreme care from Juan Ddd has been taken with this release. Quality stuff once more for Agile.
