refused. welcomes back Florian Frings, who has blown us away with this experimental tale of techno. 'Resistance' provides four alluring and fierce moving tracks each with their own signature energy and exploration of different synth rhythms. Heading this exceptional EP is a track with a very fiery presence. 'Culture' starts in with a low rumbling bassline, layers of spiraling synths, and a sizzling topline that builds up anticipation. As we move into the body of Culture, progressive pads grow and move the track forward. 'Holo' starts in with a pronounced kick while eclectic highs, percussion, and dreamy progressive synth pads begin to build. 'Okay' is a very momentous and minimal techno piece. It plays with some acidy synth progressions welded with industrial breaks. Lastly, 'Revolution' is a minimal influenced piece with a winding maze of peculiar obstacles that all lead you to a new dimension.

Markantonio’s label AnalyticTrail drops a hard-hitting three track techno EP from young Italian producer Hanubis whose style blends thundering percussion with timeless synth sounds.

Prior to this EP, Hanubis had released tracks on labels including Spartaque’s IAMT, Sam Paganini’s JAM and Coyu’s Suara, leading to support from DJ’s such as Charlotte De Witte, Enrico Sangiuliano, Cari Lekebusch, Wehbba, Spektre and Skober.

Hanubis is also a resident DJ at LebenSound UM in the Italian city of Foggia where he regularly plays alongside DJ royalty from around the globe.

“Dish” opens the release with an industrial kick drum fused with stabbing pads and explosive vocal phrases. Track two “Armageddon” blends the twisted euphoria of hypnotic synths with heavy percussion, before the dark and punishing “The Modeline” closes out this peak time techno EP.

Tronic labels' head honcho, Christian Smith, returns to Tronic for his first single of the year. Fresh after his recent hit on Drumcode's A-Sides, he delivered two tracks that resemble his production style and music plays in his sets. 'Phazon' named after the famous sound system of the legendary New York club, Twilo, focuses on one main melody and forward driving energy. 'I called this track Phazon, because while I was producing it I incorporated an old school style melody and imagined how amazing it would have sounded on the insane Phazon system at Twilo in NYC. 'Hallucinate' is another adrenaline bomb, using analog rave sirens and a hypnotic female voice. This EP has been tested at many gigs before the global lockdown to great reactions.
