Johnny Kaos and Mattew Jay there are no strangers to MB Elektronics world and they deliver a dynamic EP. First up is &#8216;Polling&#8217;, an instant solid production from both of them. Deep chords are bouncing back on the foreground mixed up perfectly with twisted effects. Perfect beginning to this EP and the best of all it&#8217;s just one of the three excellent tracks here. Next comes &#8216;Don&#8217;t Touch My Bass&#8217; and once again this is an epic techno journey with thick but eerie melodies all over. Closing this EP is &#8216;You Are a Monster&#8217; which is really special. The bassline, lighten up the drum kicks and make it much more tasteful. Nothing less but elegant stuff to this EP is a solid outing from the boys, Johnny Kaos and Mattew Jay and for MB Elektronics as well, it will really put your speakers to the test.

Lewis returns to Agile, and the title track of the EP clearly shows his tendencies with haunting melodies taking center stage and the rhythm section effortlessly grinding away.&nbsp; The subliminal vibe continues on &#8220;Analyze&#8221;, yet the momentum is kicked up a notch for maximum effect while mangled vocal snippets are interlocked with the drums, and spacious effects lace the whole affair with class.

A modern nomad who has travelled the continents with his music, Nu is as diverse in his musical styles as he is well-travelled.

Taking influences from his various homes, such as Switzerland, Germany, or Peru, the producer and trained sound engineer branched out into various genres (deep house, hip hop, trip-hop, ambient, experimental, dance, and even film and dance theatre music composition). Through this years-long musical journey, Nu then found his true calling: instrumentals amalgamated with his electronic production, all held together through solid rhythms.

Nuʼs music has a strong emphasis on live performance. He fuses clean-cut minimal techno with the raw sounds of his analogue synthesis and his self-made instruments. He works with anything from self-recorded samples over drum and synthesizer machines to multi-touch screen controllers.

Happily cruising along with our eighth installment of our Platform series, we dive deeper into the groove with three cuts guaranteed to shake glutei maximi of any size. Amo, Navas and Maya kick things off with a rubber-band bass and high-pitched stabs over jacking drums, all making way for the obscure vocal that magically appears. Juan Ddd and Johan Dresser pick up from there and opt for an old-school rhythm section to hold everything down. A warped synth gets us in a quirky mode and the Boombox has, indeed, arrived. Raul Mezcolanza closes up with "Follow Me" and its rumbling sub bass. We are entering shuffle central from the get-go and get sucked in by the underwater vibe of the whole affair.

For some time now the Bar25 label has wanted to put out a release with all of our Swiss musician friends - the many folks who came to the Swiss Weekends at the Bar and generally made a habit of visiting us in Berlin. The Bar always had a deep Swiss connection, manifested not least in the legendary Swiss Cabin, home away from home to larger groups of visiting friends and Monday evening after-hour hotspot. "Alpenglühen - Feines aus der Schweiz" (Alp Glow - Swiss Bliss) is a swanky double vinyl of high-quality production art made in Switzerland. On vinyl 1, Animal Trainer from Hive Audio share a side with Andri, the Zurich native who is famous for his energetic live set's. Techno gladiator Wandler and live artist Canson play the other side, while vinyl 2 lets two matadors from the new Zurich club Frieda's Büxe - Don Ramon and San Marco - steer for a while. And the two music geniuses from Galoppierende Zuversicht are also here, fittingly, using sounds recorded live at Frieda's Büxe for their track. The sampler concludes with the exceptionally talented Mastra, who contributed a special song to this Swiss musical collage. The digital release also comes with a bonus live track by sublime stage band Rizzoknor. Even the cover was designed in Switzerland, during a Bar25 night at the legendary Cabaret in Zurich. We're all excited about this release since it's a special one for the 25 label. Marked both by good old times and new horizons, this record is a musical compilation representing the very special kind of artist that will always be welcome in wild Berlin!
