There is no rest for the wicked techno releasing machine that is !Organism as here they serve up a 68th EP. Produced by Spain’s Maae it comes with a remix from Tomy DeClerque. 

Maae has been in the techno game for 15 years now and has been resident at clubs such as Blau Club and Zoom Club in his native Barcelona. It was only in 2012 that he assumed his most recent moniker though and since then he has excelled on his own label Metodiq. 

Up first is ‘Mental Soldier’, a synthetic and subliminal jam with buried deep synths and hiccuping drums that really suck you into its future forms. Next is the rolling techno of the title track ‘Slave to the Rhythm’, which is embellished with some human voices and slap-funk precision that helps to really stand it out from the crowd. 

The remix from Tomy DeClerque - a Slovenian techno talent who has won many awards and has released regularly on Carl Cox’s Intec label - is a more barreling and streamlined affair with rattling toms, groaning and ominous synth lines and a rising sense of tension. Lastly, 

‘The Mistake’ is a slick and lithe affair with dancing drums, huge apocalyptic chords that will sweep over whole warehouses and a stern sense of groove. 

Once more here !Organism serve up the searing techno goods from a talented roster of talent from around the world.

Lewis returns to Agile, and the title track of the EP clearly shows his tendencies with haunting melodies taking center stage and the rhythm section effortlessly grinding away.&nbsp; The subliminal vibe continues on &#8220;Analyze&#8221;, yet the momentum is kicked up a notch for maximum effect while mangled vocal snippets are interlocked with the drums, and spacious effects lace the whole affair with class.

Devid and Luca team up for two juicy tracks, and &#8220;Elephant&#8221; is up first with its sticky bassline and grinding rhythm section.&nbsp; The focus shifts to the haunting stabs and the affair is completed by otherworldly effects working away subliminally.&nbsp; 
&#8220;Memory&#8221; takes a slightly different route as manic chords provide the momentum, and the bubbling bass intertwines with the looped-out vocal snippets in the background.

October 13th 2017 sees the esteemed German Techno DJ/producer Oliver Huntemann find himself on the cusp of yet a new era in his career with the release of his fifth album entitled, ‘Propaganda’.

'Propaganda' is Huntemann’s fifth long-player, and like each of its predecessors, it shows a different side to one of the most consistently rewarding names in Techno. Huntemann explains, “The sound of Propaganda is more grown up, I’ve left the times of reducing to the max behind to create a certain atmosphere throughout the whole album. Of course most tracks work well on the dancefloor but the task was also to make them as interesting as possible for listening sessions - simply to reach another level.”

Released on his own Senso Sounds label, the album exudes the level of assurance that perhaps only comes with being so active in curating and developing a label that has stood out from the masses since its inception in 2014.

'Propaganda' opens with 'Taktik', and the mood is quickly established through crisp motorik drum programming and deep, pulsing bass lines. 'Poltergeist' - the 2nd cut, continues this aesthetic - a deep and spacious groover.

Clocking in at over 1 hour 15 minutes, the 12-tracker allows a lot of space for itself, each tracking having the time it needs to develop and unfold. 'Egoist' ramps up the feel somewhat with intricate melodies and effects, before breaking down into something that will destroy many dance floors. Yet the beauty of the album format is that it allows for various mood changes, and 'Malaria' brings us something of a shift into a more freaked out and edgy vibe, while 'Anonym' highlights Huntemann’s mastery of atmosphere, serving as an ambient / downbeat interlude. 'Rotlicht' is perhaps a standout for fans of Huntemann’s epic DJ sets, exhibiting all the control and release dynamic that make him such an engaging performer. It’s also clearly a key cornerstone for the entire album.

Next up is 'Absurd', followed by 'Manipulation' - both reference the exquisite sound design Huntemann instils into his precision-built tracks, while remaining primed for club use at all times. 'Momentum' switches up the tempo, perhaps influenced by more experimental, no wave and krautrock sources - and serving as punctuation before the album's final triptych. 'Vertigo' sees shimmering arpeggiated synths skip across a solid rhythm track, while 'Doppelgänger' builds a delicious tension through constant pads and pulsing, blocky bass tones. 'Trick17' ultimately rounds off 'Propaganda', - an expanse of emotionally charged techno with Huntemann’s signature feel woven into its fabric.

Oliver Huntemann - Rotlicht

Having thawed the winters chill with his Elements EP earlier this year, SCI+TEC regular Alex Mine returns to warm our bones with his Time Lapse EP, and fresh from being selected as one of the key artists to feature on the label’s 10 Years of SCI+TEC compilation, with his ’Name Of What’ track, the Italian promptly delivers a fresh and weighty new four track selection. 

The title track leads the EP with its huge kick, echoing vocal spikes and synth chords to create a tense but electrifying atmosphere. ‘Egoes’ follows, pushing the tempo with its tight groove and frenzied acid line to create a powerful dancefloor moment. 

From that piercing peak to the dreamy depths of ‘Forth Dimension’ and its delicate, inviting bassline and simple melody. A soothing slice and one that readies us for the rugged tribal stomp of the brilliant and elegantly twisted closer, ‘Krantor’.

Part 2 of the Propaganda remixes picks up where the first left off. Gathering together some of the finest talent in contemporary techno, Oliver Huntemann’s killer LP from late 2017 gets more new reworks and remixes.

'Momentum' is flipped by the ever dependable André Winter, who’s deep and groovy interpretation brings new textures to the orignal and will delight fans of his previous work.

Fur Coat, the producer duo originally from Venezuela and now based in Barcelona, bring their own specific flavour to one of the album highlights, 'Egoist'. Their remix is a stripped down driving techno cut with a deeply acidic undertone.

Olivier Giacomotto, the techno producer from Bordeaux, France, provides a electro infused rework of 'Vertigo', adding sharp
808 patterns, a thick cut groove, and eventually some deep pads to his version.

'Malaria' gets the treatment by SHADED who drops his Dark Stab mix. Skyler Patrick Taugher, the Californian behind the
SHADED moniker, brings a particularly tough mix for one of Huntemann’s key tracks - a sure fire peak time winner.

Another album highlight 'Doppelgänger' is remixed by Berlin resident and Upon You boss Marco Resmann, adding layers of
dynamic rhythym with which to counterpoint his edgy pads and deep synth touches.

'Trick17' is giving a mix by Senso regular Distale. A filthy, low roller with fathoms-deep sub bass and and sparkling percussion.

The young Russian Maksim Dark adds his own interpretation of 'Poltergeist' to the release, edging up the darkness a little
more and producing a growling, tough techno workout that will go over big on a lot of floors this year.

The man from Rostock, Carlo Ruetz, provides a slick dub of 'Der schwarze Kanal’, stripping away any superfluous sounds
and setting the controls fort he heart oft he dancefloor.

Three years after releasing their debut EP on Tronic, Tronica, German duo 2pole are releasing part one of their highly anticipated debut double LP, 1ne, via Christian Smith's famed label.

Aptly entitled 1ne, 2pole's debut artist album features 16 hard-hitting tracks, soaked in the duo's trademark high-impact, richly crafted sound.

Created for the dancefloor, the record is a palette of dance music sounds, ranging from techno-meets-rave-style-trance anthem 'Red Point', melodic extravaganza 'Dimension' and peak time banger 'Run', which has been a part of Adam Beyer's sets since last summer. 1ne also sees 2pole collaborate with Christian Smith, Philadelphia's spoken word artist Ursula Rucker, Jam & Spoon's Jam El Mar and Hamburg-based modular devotee Colectivo Triangular.

'Christian Smith was the first person we got in contact with when 2pole was born two and a half years ago,' 2pole say. 'He told us that he's a big fan of our music and he'd love to release it on his label Tronic. He visited us two times at our studio and we produced some tracks together for his album, which was released a year ago, and for our album. He really liked our double LP and we are really happy to get Christian and his label Tronic as a partner for this work.'

1ne will be released on June 24th, 2019. It will be followed up by the second part of the double LP, 2wo, which focuses on the duo's more obscure, ambient and experimental pursuits.
