Messages From Concrete Lady - Ecky

Sound designer/producer & Live performer, Worg is based in Rome and founded his imprint "Lykos Records" at the end of the 'Anno Urbis MMXVIII'. Amongst highlights, Worg played Tresor in 2019 and has focused in recent months on his freshly released Ep 'La Cena delle ceneri' on Circular Limited. It's with much pleasure we're welcoming him with a Live session that he recorded for the occasion, therefore giving us a deeper insight into his work process.
 
Worg's musical range extends from experimental through slight accents of industrial, to approaching deep techno. He shows special attention for textures and persistent rhythms; you'll hear smooth pads and distortions, -drones, -hypnotic melodies & some metallic discordance; those various sounds merging both Live or in his studio productions, to create complex and distinct sonorities. It's those heterogeneous elements that give life to his body of work, enveloped in a sonic gloomy haze, to accompany the audience into a voyage of "spectral soundscapes & fantasies, located in dystopian places" of his imagination. 

Worg has released on numerous, various labels such as Circular Limited, Northallisen Records, Illegal Alien Records, Lett Records, Warok Music, Concepto Hipnotico, Concrete Records (and others). In her aspiring career, beginning at age 16, Lindsey Herbert has continued to drift towards the deeper realms of techno, constantly honing her craft as a DJ and getting involved with the thriving scene in San Francisco. Fast-forward to 2020 and Lindsey has truly become a recognized name in her city and beyond, in large part thanks to her unique signature sets — true journeys that explore alternating soundscapes laced together by dark, deep and heavy textures, as well psychedelic elements and ethereal melodies. With tour dates that have brought her to international venues playing beside top name DJs, she is an artist to watch.

Lindsey’s hard work over the years has paid off, gaining her residencies with San Francisco’s Robot Ears for the past five years, as well as earning a spot on the roster of Berlin-based agency, Point Collective. She has played coveted gigs in Detroit, Chicago, Athens, Istanbul, and throughout Germany, as well as her recent debut in the legendary Tresor Berlin and Gate Club in Batumi, Georgia.

Lindsey's debut in the production realm was in September 2018 with a remix of Martyn Päsch's track 'Sacred' on KVLTÖ Records. Her debut solo EP was released in 2019 on LA-based label Ascetic Limited with a remix from Motionen.

Dorian Gray is the reflective persona of Italian producer and DJ, @morenomariotti, an artist whose comprehension of techno music is a far cry from any conventions. Dorian’s musical craftsmanship is influenced by two core aspects – his interest in astronomy, but also esotericism and mythology. His productions formulate refined deep and ambient atmosphere, cleverly connected to his interests beyond music. Spellbinding rhythms, detailed ambient pads, and intervening acidic loops shape Dorian’s signature sound and provide a clear glance at this artist’s inspirational flow and intricate creative process.

His work appeared on labels such as Illegal Alien, The Gods Planet, Edit Select Records, Substrato and his track “The Night Gate” on Avant-Propos Records was described by MixMag as “eerie and mysterious and the spectral voices that fill out the top end give it a supernatural feeling that is both haunting and alluring“.                            

We are more than happy to present Dorian on our platform with a superb podcast that symbolically  features tracks from the digital album United Against COVID-19 – a  compilation of Italian deep/hypnotic techno artists united to give their contribution to healthcare facilities operating against the pandemic.

The Alchemical Theory project was born in 2018 from the creative union of three italian producers: Kill Acid on Space, Unclear and Øyvind (owner of Subosc Records together Kaelan). The identity of the project has been very influenced by the favorite sounds of the three artists, ranging from modular electronic sounds to much more atmospheric sounds. This project also comes from the love of mysticism, alchemy and nature. In each release they want to represent something that affects the listener's mind, reproducing a real mental journey.

In this series we are going to Barcelona and to introduce you to ASH.

Leandro Rossi is a Brazilian deejay and music producer based in Barcelona since 2012, has started his project ASH (Vinyl Only) in 2017, is known by his own music style (Acid Space Hypnotic). He’s been spinning on the most important techno parties in town, as BAHN·, Techno In The Forest, HEX, Rezonanz, NODE, Selectors and Insert.

Hypnotism made by defined low end frequencies, rhythmic pulsing fat bass lines, flying space acid modulated synthesizers, minimalistic noisy cracked high frequencies elements, far away three dimensional alien drone ambiences, is a good way to explain what is ASH.

For ASH, the goal of each hypnosis session is to inspire freedom, disconnection of the mind, create a feeling of well being in a collective sensorial fusion and make the dance floor express itself spontaneously.
