SHOW-B is back with electrifying house, a solid package of gorgeous tracks, down to earth and uplifting, coupled with a cool Huxley Remix on the flipside.
After his debut EP Compost Black Label #49 back in 2009, some productions for Robert Owens’ album „Art“ in 2010 and his recent collaboration with DJ mate Thomas Herb (Black Label #85) earlier this year, he ́s now finally back with his very own Black Label release. We ́ve seen the highly acclaimed „Moory“ / „Keras“ clubhits in several „best of“- playlists of the year 2009.
Although you could consider Compost as his homebase, he also left some striking marks on imprints such as Poker Flat, Peppermint Jam, Delusions Of Grandeur (as Pattern Select with production partner Milton Jackson) or Smoke N’ Mirrors, where he did a fine remix job on Ian Pooley’s „Know What ́s Up“. He recently proved again his energetic remix skills on Boris Dlugosch ́s „Knalldrang“ EP on Poker Flat.
In the near future he ́ll be found of course in the studio working on projects with Martin Landsky, Ian Pooley, Milton Jackson etc. Or he ́s touring around as DJ, alone or with his partner in crime Thomas Herb – with him he ́s also hosting the weekly Compost Black Label Sessions Radioshow.

Since he left his role as a respected indie producer and drummer, and threw himself into the alluring dark paths of the electronic club scene, things have only moved in an upward direction for HOLTOUG.

With several podcasts on the infamous Danish national radio show, UNGA BUNGA, live performances at the three best and biggest electronic festivals in his native Denmark; DISTORTION, STRØM and TRAILERPARK, the Copenhagen based producer and DJ no longer needs any introduction in his homeland.

Outside Denmark however, what little people know of HOLTOUG comes mainly from a string of successful bootlegs and most have still to experience the musical depth he put into his own productions as well as his live- and DJ sets.

With „Everybody“ as his first release on Connaisseur, HOLTOUG delivers a melodic and poppish Deep-House track both as an original and a dub version, featuring the haunting vocals by Danish singer Silas.

The release is rounded-up by the piano-driven deep-house cut „Ballad House“, which features clever tempo-changes and a driving atmosphere, as well as a touching laidback remix of „Everybody“ by Danish DJ and producer Rosa Lux as a vinyl exclusive.
Connaisseur is more than happy to welcome this promising artist to its roster.

Info: Radio Diffusion are two hard working craftsmen from the middle of nowhere in Austria, but they’re working also in Vienna, doing also guestmixes for FM4. They met each other at a farm somewhere in deep Austria and teamed up jamming with vintage and handmade instruments. In fact, they are Sebastian Badics and Hans Staudinger, both live musicians, DJs and producers of various club sound projects.

„BHVL“ is a smart, catchy, warm radio house hit, already on heavy rotation on FM4 and other stations.

I had a lot of fun working on this remix, mainly because Marc and Ken provided some great parts to work with. I messed around with chopping up the main riff so that it plays different versions out of each channel to give an interesting left/right effect, every so often hitting the same pattern on both channels and suddenly jumping to the middle as a result. Then it disintegrates and recombines in new form during the break before finally reaching the original riff on the main drop....I've been playing it out a lot, seems to do the job nicely in the clubs....all about the bassline as often is the way with my stuff!
