GALACTICA #120 - Tuesday 18/03/2025

Casnik, whose real name is Nicolás Castillo, has always had a unique relationship with music, one that began in his hometown of City Bell, La Plata. Even as a child, he experienced music in a way that was deeply personal and expressive, often using movement and dance to convey the emotions he felt. Inspired by legendary performers like Michael Jackson, he immersed himself in dance classes and explored a wide variety of musical styles, each time seeking to understand the mood and essence that made each genre distinct.

His journey as a DJ officially began in 2018, when he set out with a clear purpose: to share the profound impact that music had on him and to spark that same sense of wonder and connection in his listeners.

The year 2020 marked a significant turning point in Casnik’s artistic evolution. He began to explore the worlds of Progressive House and Melodic House, genres that allowed him to experiment with new sounds and emotional landscapes, further developing his signature style. In 2021, Casnik made the bold decision to move to Tulum, Mexico-a move that opened up new opportunities and allowed him to reach an even broader audience. In this vibrant new setting, he performed at renowned venues in Playa del Carmen, Holbox, and Tulum, sharing the stage with internationally acclaimed artists like Pan Pot, Roy Rosenfeld, and Marcel Dettman.

Throughout his journey, Casnik has remained dedicated to his core mission: using music as a bridge to connect with people on a deeper level. Every performance is a reflection of his lifelong passion, his constant growth as an artist, and his unwavering belief in the power of music to unite, inspire, and transform.
