Noise Generation - Poper (Original Mix)

Madloch's 3rd Avenue label warmly welcomes back Omafiets with his EP "Pessoa." The producer, originally from Argentina and now residing in the Netherlands, made his label debut on the "We Are The Future" compilation in 2022. Now, he returns with two compelling original tracks. The title track received a remix treatment from our good friend from Switzerland, Jean Caillou, who has previously released on both 3rd Avenue and Sound Avenue. The second remix for "Pessoa" was expertly crafted by Nicolás Bertoldi, who resides in the same city in Argentina where Omafiets once lived. The third remix is made by Zaleski, known for his recent standout release on Sound Avenue's inaugural 'Dimensions' LP. Additionally, the EP features the exquisite second original track "Outro Lado Da Rua," which has been remixed by Lucas Gomez (AR), who took on the role of label manager for South America Avenue in 2023.

Omafiets - Pessoa (Jean Caillou Remix) [3rd Avenue]

Roger Martinez’s Higher States opens the new year by welcoming FJL to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Rosario, the Argentinean artist first emerged in 2020 with a contribution to BC2’s ‘Novus’ collection, a track which would tip him as a name to watch in the world of progressive house. Further successes would come across the next three calendar years, with key projects via Or Two Strangers, Mango Alley and Sound Avenue highlighting his resume, in turn earning the support of Above & Beyond, Ezequiel Arias, Hernan Cattaneo, Roy Rosenfeld, Khen, Mariano Mellino and Nick Warren, amongst others. With his latest Mango Alley vehicle ‘Fixation’ starting the year on a high note, FJL continues on an upwards trajectory with his Higher States debut ‘Forgotten Angels’.
FJL continues to explore his club-effective style on the lead selection ‘Forgotten Angels'. Fluid and energetic throughout, it's a framework of warm kick drums and full basslines which lay the foundation for flashing percussion, and shape shifting atmospheres to create a smooth first act. Emotive key changes flow through the groove, as muted tones and airy gates rise across the main break, adding a cosmic character into the mix and setting the course for a tastefully uplifting finale.
Surveying a darker monochrome is selection two 'Night Creatures' which further cements FJL's dancefloor minded ethos. Its rippling drive is anchored by powerful beats and capsizing bass stabs; nicely accented with a clever co-ax of driving percussion and orbiting effects. A tension- filled break sits at the core of the journey, gently melting down to an array of interplanetary clusters and a thumping peaktime conclusion.
Selection three 'No Return' showcases FJL's repertoire further with a smooth and equally powerful journey. Clocking in at eight minutes in length, the Rosario resident's creative prowess shines once again, as he crafts a lively club cut that is rich in rhythm, groove and atmosphere. Thunderous basslines, hopeful pads and a capsizing swing create a perfect balance of hypnotic energy, before giving way to a mystical break and groove-centric finale that's sure to leave a lasting memory on the dancefloor.

FJL - Forgotten Angels (Preview)

Bulgarian DJ and producer D-Phrag teams up with Ev Rymd and Joono for his debut EP on Yomo Records, out March 15

A pair of remixes for Particles in December 2022 and February 2023 showcased Wolfframm's talents with sparkling interpretations of OHMZ and Juan Deminicis as he now returns to the label with his debut original EP. "Lucid" is an atmospheric gem that combines a heavy rolling beat with a tight percussive hi-hat backdrop. A stellar array of melodic effects, piano phrases and light motifs punctuate the rhythmic foundation before a deep penetrating bassline adds to the club-friendly character powering its way forward with low-end gravitas and deep intensity. Heading towards the breakdown, a stereo-panned LFO'd synth effect makes its play, before dropping into a full-force third movement where the complete cast of characters combine to devastating effect and melodic sensitivity. "Before You Go" is another bassline-driven gem that creates a smooth melodic backdrop from the bass sequence that is then mirrored through the other synth phrasing. With more than a touch of class, another beautiful piano sequence brings coherence to the EP narrative, as it finds its focus at the mid-point before the second half blossoms into life. A powerful driving beat, analogue bass groove and shaker-fuelled top line create a stunning piece of work in a pair of original tracks to define the Wolfframm sound.

Darling of the progressive house scene and long-time friend of Proton, the award-winning, Jamie Stevens, continues his impressive range of remixes on Proton Music for Petar Dundov, James Monro and Hrag Mikkel, with another genre-defining remix for Particles. With trademark aplomb and meticulous attention to detail, the scattered and panned LFO sequences from "Lucid" create dizzying aural patterns while new melodies generate a new direction full of atmosphere. As hypnotic as it is technically proficient, the Australian icon's skill is to create a unique dancefloor cadence that builds through its phases, ably complemented by whip-cracking kick, rolling low-end groove and fizzing hi-hat top line. The result is another Jamie Stevens masterclass.

Ireland born but Australian-based, amháin, is an artist with a rapidly growing reputation and production portfolio. Making his mark with remixes for Erdi Irmak and Michael A on Proton Music and April 2023's "Evaporate" EP on Particles, amháin now follows up with a progressive breaks-inspired reworking of "Lucid". The aptly titled "Broken Reality Remix" is a tour de force that cleverly plays on the powerful bassline found in Wolfframm's track by creating a groove that extends into a rumbling and sustained sequence over the 7-minute piece. Simultaneously, sounds from the original are liberally spread over the amháin remix as it retains the essence of the original but taken in a low-slung new direction courtesy of the inspired breakbeat backdrop and myriad additional production work.
