Soak Leeds Warehouse 1991

The Anti Club Club 'It's Obvious' at the Leeds Warehouse was a hugely sucsessful club night in the early 90's with its often sureal and situationalist 'post modern' approach that pre empted the 'burlesque' scene and was a major influence on the shape of future clubbing. Who remembers the bizzare 'flyers' that included Its Obvious branded bake bean tins, hard back books and fireworks given out to confused clubbers across the North West, the 'shit' DJ in the club toilets and jumble sales and a purpose built waterfall! Famous for mixing circus performers with top DJ's and live acts, resident DJ Crash & Burn (Simon Landin and Rich Williams) played alongside DJs & Acts including Jon Carter, DJ Food, Ronnie Size, Aphex Twin & Squarepusher and helped to establish some of these acts in the north of England as well as promoting the Big Beat scene.
