وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ

I’m mighty fond of the beauty in Egyptian recitations and love gettin’ lost in some real fine music. Pulled toward the faith and literary goings-on of Eastern and Western (Got a soft spot for Arabic poetry, English literature—that’s my major—,the Qur’an and its readings, and diggin’ into the Christian faith—its history, teachings, and what it’s all about at its core).
