Ain't It Fun

Here's my first stab at it, recorded and mixed pretty quickly. I decided to take out the vocals on bridge #1 and replace them with the horns since they get a little repetitive on the finale. I also liked the idea of adding some organ and strings in there. I also added some tympani, glockenspiel, proper piano and a few other little things. I also tried to declutter, taking out lots of unecessary bits for this version.

2011 saw a unique collaboration between hip hop icon T.I. And vocal
powerhouse Christina Aguilera.  While the song went
slightly under the radar in the pop charts it sported an emotional
chorus with a stirring vocal performance from Cristina Aguilera
that lends itself quite well towards a melodic bass rework.

Enter Collin Mcloughlin and Skrux, who's synth heavy interpretation
of Castle Walls provides a melancholy take on the hip hop focused
original. A soaring trace like arp guides the listener through a wave
of heavy bass and glitched vocals, making this interpretation of
Castle Walls a perfect balance between subtle beauty and overdriven
low end.
