Was in a bit of a creative rut. Decided to give myself random challenge. Searched my mind to find someone to test myself on. For some reason beyond my understanding I chose Will Smith's currently 22-year-old crossover Rap/Pop hit, "Gettin' Jiggy With It", wondered if I could make it sound more old school and underground, found the acapella of it posted on YouTube, and then just went to work and let my soul guide me with what to add to it.

Ingredients below...

*sped it up from 108 to 112 bpm
*sampled "It Takes Two" from Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock (who sampled from "Think About It" by Lynn Collins and James Brown
*sampled "Blues and Pants" by James Brown
*Added Bobby Byrd on the hook from "Get On Up/Into It/Involved" by James Brown
*added new percussion, kicks, and breaks
*edited, mixed, mastered
