I am a multi-instrumentalist Media Composer with 25+ years of experience in the Film, Television & Music landscape. My goal is the same as yours, to collaborate with you in creating the perfect sonic story that aligns seamlessly with the visual narrative and emotional arc of your project. Character, story and feeling always determine my musical writing decisions, instrumentation choices and stylistic direction.
  I come from a long paternal line of drummers, so I’ve been playing percussion and drums since I can remember.  Wanting to branch out into harmony and melody, I moved on to piano and guitar, trumpet in orchestra and eventually just about any instrument I could get my hands on, with a specific penchant for any stringed instrument. As soon as I graduated high school, I hit the road touring with various bands and wasn’t looking much beyond that, musically speaking, in my youthful naivety.
   But the universe took me on an adventure down a winding river with many branches and tributaries that involved working at a record label, which led to directing and editing music videos, which then led to a 20-year career in film and video production and editing. In a roundabout way, this river led me right back to music composition and scoring. When a co-worker, the director of a feature length documentary, asked me to compose some original music for his film, I found myself right back where I started, and I felt like I had come home .
   I now work on a diverse array of projects ranging from scoring films to writing original compositions for national broadcast commercials, television shows and game music.
   I embrace the notion that the most remarkable outcomes often arise from unexpected avenues. Often through experimenting with unique palettes of instrumentation, I try to uncover fresh and exciting musical possibilities, pleasant surprises and happy accidents that ultimately serve whatever story we are telling.

4 out of 6 is a Northeast Ohio based band that has spanned four decades in various forms.  In 2019 we decided to concentrate on writing our own material, (no categorical format).  We recently picked up a new vocalist, Kat Taylor, to help take us into our next chapter!  We hope you like what you hear.  Send us a message and let us know what you think!

I believe that Music is Beauty. Music is Inspiration. Music is connecting, and sharing emotions in a way that only the sounds and tones of a voice or instrument can do. Music is telling a story, relating to that one person out there, saving them from themselves or inspiring them to be something more. Music is creativity. Through my music I only wish to inspire, tell my story, and provide a positive new outlook on the struggles that we face every day. So…. I wish to share my experiences with you through my words, my song, and through the melodic creation we call music. Enjoy.

Every so often, a band or artist comes along that changes the temperature in the room. They can't be defined by one of their songs or be put into any one genre. Their sound is universal yet unique, and the emotion they deliver is unparalleled.

Created and led by iconic singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Jimmy Gnecco... this is OURS.

On stage, the band has toured with The Cult, The Wallflowers, Powderfinger, Filter, Peter Murphy, Ocean Colour Scene, Pete Yorn, ...

As for its leader, Jimmy Gnecco, after touring with everyone from Lana Del Rey to A-Ha, via Royston Langdon (Spacehog), Citizen Cope, Blue October, The Gutter Twins (Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan), ... he now holds the microphone in concert for the band Humanist, with whom he is touring Europe in 2024, whether as headliner in the UK (in October), or as opening act for Depeche Mode, or Jane's Addiction.

An alchemist of emotions, Jimmy Gnecco has put his heart and soul into the songs on this new album with his band OURS, “New Age Heroine” (released on September 20, 2024), to find a way of transcribing the complex range of feelings that define the humanity of each and every one of us, to offer the world something that transcends all that, in a surge of love, compassion, forgiveness, understanding... Or how to turn music and words into something more beautiful, something greater; like turning lead into gold.
