AIISCA 1st Ambedkarite Youth Convention, Pune

Prior to thinking about starting a new movement, we must first determine whether we no longer trust current political movements because of their methods of operation and inability to effectively raise the issues of scheduled castes. 
Right now, there isn't a single organization that is genuinely democratic. Furthermore, there isn't a single organization that is solely focused on defending the rights of scheduled castes. We choose our options because they are inevitable, even though they are not our choice.
Communities depend on leaders and organizations in many ways. People desired to be free of slavery, poverty, and inequality. The organizations and their executives, however, are playing cheap politics. The public is getting disillusioned, depressed, and frustrated. Hence, the scheduled caste needs a truly democratic organization for and by them. 
The goal of the All India Independent Scheduled Caste Association is to form a new, democratically based movement for and by the scheduled caste. We are prepared to put forth effort to address all relevant issues, including education and jobs.

In the last 15 to 20 years in electoral politics, Ambedkarite parties have continued to fare poorly & civil society organisations have been limiting & ineffective in raising the fundamental questions of the Dalit masses. 
In this context, we as youths need to be part of an organized politics and work towards achieving certain specific agendas. 

The media run by upper castes keeps us engaged with every other news except the material questions of Dalits. We should not get swayed by them but set our own agendas.

The mainstream political parties use Baba Saheb as a mere symbolism without substance. A section of urban Dalit middle class lives in contentment for where they are in life and our masses are used to coming out to the streets only for affirmative action and against violent atrocities.

We need to have sustained institutions & demands beyond reservation in the public sector.

The Ambedkarite movement needs to rethink its ways of working & move beyond stagnation and singular ways of doing electoral politics.
